Δεν βλέπουν το Μαδουρο που είναι πιο καπάτσος; Εχει το μονοπώλιο του χαρτιού εκτύπωσης των εφημερίδων και κλείνει μέχρι και το CNN.

Ο αμερικανός γερουσιαστής Τζον Μακέιν, υπερασπιζόμενος τα μέσα ενημέρωσης μετά την τελευταία επίθεση του προέδρου Ντόναλντ Τραμπ εναντίον τους, προειδοποίησε πως η φίμωση του ελεύθερου Τύπου είναι ο τρόπος με τον οποίο «αρχίζουν οι δικτάτορες».
Ο ρεπουμπλικανός γερουσιαστής της Αριζόνα, συχνός επικριτής του Τραμπ, απάντησε με τη δήλωση αυτή σ’ ένα μήνυμα του Τραμπ στο Twitter, στο οποίο ο αμερικανός πρόεδρος κατηγόρησε τα μέσα ενημέρωσης ότι είναι «ο εχθρός του αμερικανικού λαού».
Η διεθνής τάξη, που εγκαθιδρύθηκε μετά τον Δεύτερο Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο, οικοδομήθηκε εν μέρει πάνω σ’ έναν ελεύθερο Τύπο, δήλωσε ο Μακέιν σύμφωνα με απόσπασμα συνέντευξης που έδωσε στην εκπομπή Meet the Press του τηλεοπτικού δικτύου NBC. Το απόσπασμα δόθηκε στη δημοσιότητα πριν από τη μετάδοση ολόκληρης της συνέντευξης σήμερα το πρωί.
«Μισώ τον Τύπο. Μισώ ειδικά εσάς», είπε στον δημοσιογράφο Τσακ Τοντ μιλώντας από τη διεθνή διάσκεψη του Μονάχου για την ασφάλεια. «Όμως το γεγονός είναι ότι σας χρειαζόμαστε. Χρειαζόμαστε έναν ελεύθερο Τύπο. Πρέπει να τον έχουμε. Είναι ζωτικής σημασίας».
«Αν θέλεις να διαφυλάξεις -μιλώ πολύ σοβαρά τώρα- αν θέλεις να διαφυλάξεις τη δημοκρατία όπως τη ξέρουμε, πρέπει να έχεις έναν ελεύθερο και μερικές φορές αντίπαλο Τύπο. Και χωρίς αυτόν, φοβάμαι ότι εν καιρώ θα χάσουμε πάρα πολλά από τις ατομικές ελευθερίες μας. Έτσι αρχίζουν οι δικτάτορες», δήλωσε ο Μακέιν.

Δεν είναι μόνο οι ρεπουμπλικάνοι που η πλειοψηφία τους δεν τον γουστάρει.
Δεν τον γουστάρουν όλα τα μίντια με εξαίρεση το φοξ.
Δεν τον γουστάρουν οι μυστικές υπηρεσίες στις ΗΠΑ (με ότι αυτό σημαίνει).
Δεν τον γουστάρει σχεδόν καμιά άλλη κυβέρνηση συμμάχου.
Και δεν τον γουστάρει η πλειοψηφία στις ΗΠΑ.

Ο νταλκάς τους είναι να εκμεταλλευθούν την άνοδο στην προεδρία αυτού του τσαρλατάνου για να περάσουν την δική τους πολύ συντηρητική ατζέντα σε ένα σωρό ζητήματα – π.χ., ακόμα μεγαλύτερη μείωση φόρων στους πλούσιους, ακόμα μεγαλύτερη μείωση κοινωνικών δαπανών, κατάργηση ένα σωρό ρυθμίσεων που προστατεύουν το περιβάλλον, το νερό, κλπ, περιορισμό του δικαιώματος στην άμβλωση (ή και κατάργηση του ακόμα), και άλλα τέτοια ανάλογα μέτρα. Μέτρα όμως που κινούνται σε μία κατεύθυνση αντίθετη από αυτή στην οποία κινείται πλέον η αμερικανική κοινωνία. Για αυτό και δεν θα κάνουν και πολλά πράγματα για να περιορίσουν τον Τράμπ (εδω ψηφίζουν, πλήν ελαχίστων εξαιρέσων, τον ένα παλιάτσο μετά τον άλλο από αυτούς που έχει προτείνει αυτός ο μαλάκας για τα διάφορα υπουργεία, και αυτό την στιγμή που πολλοί από δαύτους είναι απολύτως ακατάλληλοι για τις θέσεις τους). Που να δεις δε τι χαμός γίνεται όταν διάφοροι ρεπουμπλικάνοι βουλευτές και γερουσιαστές πάνε να μιλήσουν στους ψηφοφόρους τους για να υποστηρίξουν τα διάφορα μέτρα που προωθεί το κόμμα, το τι χέσιμο τους ρίχνουν οι ίδιοι τους οι ψηφοφόροι τους δε λέγεται.
Με άλλα λόγια οι ρεπουμπλικάνοι παίζουν ένα διπλό, πρόστυχο, παιχνίδι και ακριβώς για αυτό στο τέλος την κλωτσιά στον κώλο, μαζί με τον τσαρλατάνο, θα την φάνε και αυτοί.

Σε απόλυτους αριθμούς, πήρε 2.5 εκατ. λιγότερες ψήφους, αλλά η ζημιά έγινε.
Ακόμα και το φοξ διαμαρτύρεται για διάφορες παπαριές που λέει ο Τραμπούρο 🙂

Aυτή τη στιγμή υπάρχει οργασμός στην αμερικάνικη οικονομία. Καινούρια κτίρια, η οικοδομή πάει με χίλια, τα χρηματιστήρια χτυπάνε ρεκόρ, βέβαια δεν ξέρω κατά πόσον είναι καλο αυτό, πάντως αυτήν την στιγμή συμβαινει. Στην ομιλία στη Φλόριντα μαζεύτηκαν χιλιάδες κόσμος. Ο Τραμπ έχει πολύ ισχυρή βάση που τον στηρίζει, και πολύ δύσκολα θα ανατραπεί χωρίς παρατράγουδα και χωρίς αιματοχυσία.
Βετεράνοι, η συντριπτική πλειοψηφια του στρατού τον στηρίζει, μαζί με όλους τους μπιστολάδες, καουμπόιδες και λοιπά στοιχεία. Αν τυχόν δολοφονηθει θα γίνει στην Αμερική της Πουτάνας το κάγκελο. Για αυτό είτε θέλουνε είτε δεν θέλουνε θα προσαρμοστούνε και θα αναγνωρίσουνε ότι στις εκλογές παρά την στήριξη των ΜΜΕ, οι δημοκρατικοί την πατήσανε. Επίσης σπανια στην Αμερική βγαίνει το ίδιο κόμμα τρείς φορές. Οπότε η Χίλλαρυ δεν είχε και πολλές πιθανότητες να εκλεγεί.
Αν πάντως γίνουν σήμερα ξανά εκλογές θα ξαναβγεί ο Τραμπ με μεγαλύτερο ποσοστό. Ελαβε περισσότερες εκλεκτορικές ψήφους ακόμα και από τον Ρήγκαν. Αν η Χίλαρυ έλαβε 2,5 εκατομμύρια παραπάνω δεν έχει απολύτως καμία σημασία. Το σύστημα στην Αμερική δεν πάει με τα ψηφαλάκια αλλά πάει με βάση την κατανομή που έχουνε τα ψηφαλάκια. Διαφορετικά από τη Νέα Υόρκη και από το Λος Αντζελες θα έβγαινε πρόεδρος και όλη η υπόλοιπη Αμερική δεν θα είχε καμία φωνή. Κάπως έτσι ήταν το σύστημα πριν από τον αμερικάνικο εμφύλιο για αυτό έγινε και ο εμφύλιος. Οι μικρές πολιτείες σε πληθυσμό του Νότου δεν είχανε καμία εκπροσώπηση και ο πρόεδρος έβγαινε από τη Νέα Υόρκη. Ο εκλογικός νόμος άλλαξε μετά τη λήξη του εμφυλίου και ουδέποτε κανεις πρόεδρος τόλμησε να σκεφτεί να αλλάξει έστω και ένα κόμμα του νόμου αυτού.
Εκει βλέπετε δεν είναι Ελλάδα να αλλάζει ο κάθε πρωθυπουργός τον εκλογικό νόμο. Εκεί αλλαγή εκλογικού νόμου σημαίνει εμφύλιος ή απομάκρυνση του Τέξας από τον κορμό της Αμερικής. Και αν το Τέξας και το Κάνσας αποχωρήσει θα πεινάσει όλος ο κόσμος.

Donald Trump’s family’s trips have cost taxpayers nearly as much in a month as Barack Obama’s cost in an entire year.
The US President’s three visits to his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida since his presidential inauguration, combined with his sons’ business trips, reportedly cost $11.3m (£9.1m).
Conservative watchdog Judicial Watch estimated Mr Obama’s travel expenses totalled an average $12.1m in each of his eight years in the White House.
“This is an expensive way to conduct business, and the President should recognise that,” said Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton, speaking to the Washington Post.
“The unique thing about President Trump is that he knows what it costs to run a plane.
“Going down [to Mar-a-Lago] ain’t free.”
The three Mar-a-Lago trips in Palm Beach cost the federal treasury around $10m, based on figures used in an October government report analysing White House travel.
This includes cash for coast guards to patrol the exposed shoreline.

1ον και σημαντικότερο: Ποιος μίλησε για δολοφονία!!! Αυτά δεν γίνονται σήμερα.
Τον Νίξον τον ξέχασες;
Όταν γράφω ότι έχει απέναντί του τα intelligence όχι μόνο τα δικά του αλλά και όλων των παραδοσιακών συμμάχων του, εννοώ ότι βρομιές του από το παρελθόν του θα βγουν εύκολα στην επιφάνεια (και δεν είναι κάποιος που υπήρξε πολύ προσεκτικός στη ζωή του). Τώρα παίζει πολύ το σενάριο των σχέσεών ή μάλλον της εξάρτησής του από τη Ρωσία. Και αν κάτι τέτοιο στοιχειοθετηθεί οι πρώτοι που θα γυρίσουν εναντίον του είναι αυτοί που αναφέρεις ως τους πιο ένθερμους οπαδούς του.
Κατά τα άλλα δεν ξέρω πόσο ρεύμα έχει στην αμερική ακόμα. Οι στημένες δημόσιες εμφανίσεις του δε μου λένε τίποτα. Επιπλέον μην ξεχνάς ότι ήδη έχει φάει πόρτα από τα δικαστήρια της χώρας του για ένα από τα θέματα που είχε σημαία προεκλογικά.
Για τα καινούργια κτήρια κτλ δεν νομίζεις ότι είναι λίγο σύντομα να έχει υπάρξει ξαφνικά ένας οργασμός ανοικοδόμισης ή δημοσίων επενδύσεων; Το τί κάνουν τα χρηματιστήρια μέσα σε διάστημα 1 με 2 μήνες μπορεί να έχει τεράστια σημασία ή απολύτως καμία σημασία. Ας περιμένουμε. Πάντως στο ότι θα κάνει την αμερική μεγάλη ξανά ή θα ικανοποιήσει τους άνεργους λευκούς στο Ντιτρόιτ επειδή θα βάλει φορολογία στα εισαγόμενα προϊόντα είναι η ίδια ακριβώς προεκλογική παπαριά με την κατάργηση του μνημονίου με ένα νόμο και ένα άρθρο. Η παγκοσμιοποίηση και το ελεύθερο εμπόριο απλώς επιδείνωσαν (και συνέπεσαν με) αυτό που επιφέρει η σύγχρονη τεχνολογία και η αυτοματοποίηση. Η απάντηση σε αυτά και η συζήτηση που πρέπει να γίνει για αυτά είναι για ένα νέο μοντέλο αναδιανομής του πλούτου. Η επιστροφή στο παρελθόν δεν θα βοηθήσει καθόλου.

Τρομοκράτες χτύπησαν στη Σουηδία, αλλά το ξέρει μόνο ο Τραμπ… «Είναι επικίνδυνο να υποδεχόμαστε πρόσφυγες: το αποδεικνύει η Σουηδία, μία χώρα ιδιαίτερα φιλόξενη, που μόλις υπέστη επίθεση. Κοιτάξτε τι συνέβη χθες βράδυ στη Σουηδία. Η Σουηδία, ποιος θα το πίστευε;… Ο Ντόναλντ Τραμπ ενώπιον πλήθους στη Φλόριντα. Μόνο που αυτή η επίθεση δεν έγινε ποτέ. Πρόεδρος των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών «κατασκευάζει» μία τρομοκρατική ενέργεια, ψεύδεται δημοσίως υπεραμυνόμενους του αντιμεταναστευτικού του διατάγματος, και όλα αυτά κατηγορώντας ταυτόχρονα τα μέσα ενημέρωσης της χώρας του ότι είναι «ανέντιμα» και «εχθροί των Αμερικανών».

Μπερλινερ.. Επειδή γνωρίζω την Αμερική και το πεζοδρόμιο της Αμερικής καλά και έχω συγγενείς εκεί που δεν είναι δημόσιοι υπάλληλοι αλλά επιχειρηματίες. Σου λέω να μην ακους πολύ CNN και να κοιτάς τους οικονομικούς δείκτες. Οταν συγγενής μου εργολάβος, μικρός για τα δεδομένα της Νέας Υόρκης, αλλά τεράστιος για τα εδώ δεδομένα, που δραστηριοποιείται επι 30 χρόνια στην οικοδομη μου λέει ότι δεν προλαβαίνει τις δουλειές, ενώ καθόταν επί 1,5 χρόνο, στα παπάρια του τι θα πούνε οι δικαστές και ο κάθε πικραμένος.
Αν ανατραπεί ο Τραμπ είτε με το πιστολι είτε νόμιμα, η αμερικανική οικονομία θα ξαναμπει σε λήθαργο όπως ήταν επί πολλά χρόνια παρά το QE Ομπάμα. Και εκεί δεν είναι Ευρώπη.. Επειδή είναι κάθε καρυδιάς καρύδι μαζεμένο στην Αμερικη και αμερικανικο έθνος δεν υπάρχει, αλλά μόνο αμερικάνικο όνειρο, θα γίνει της ΠΟΥΤΑΝΑΣ ΤΟ ΚΑΓΚΕΛΟ.
Μπορεί η Χίλαρυ και μερικοί σαν τον Μακ Κεην να θέλει πόλεμο με τη Ρωσία πάσει θυσία, αλλά τελικά αυτό που θα πετύχουνε θα είναι ένας εμφύλιος πόλεμος που ήδη είχε ξεκινήσει επί Ομπάμα. Οι ιστορίες με το Black Lives Matter και όλη η αναμπουμπούλα μεταξύ αστυνομίας και διάφορων μειονοτήτων υπήρξε επί Ομπάμα και θα πάρει τώρα φωτιά. Σε αυτήν την αναμπουμπούλα θα μπούνε μέσα οι μικρομεσαίοι λευκοί και οι μπιστολάδες, πρώην βετεράνοι και Χαρλεάδες και το μίγμα θα είναι πυρηνική γόμωση.
Η Αμερική έχει πρόεδρο, εκλεγμένο νόμιμα, που ακολουθει κατά γράμμα αυτά που είπε προεκλογικά. Δεν συντρέχει συνταγματικό ζήτημα. Κάνει ακριβώς ό,τι είπε. Δεν είναι Τσίπρας που απο κει που θα σκιζε τα μνημόνια όπως λες υπέγραψε 2 μέχρι τώρα. Κανένας δικαστής και κανένας Μακ Κεην δεν πρόκειται να ρισκάρει να προκαλέσει τέτοιου μεγέθους κρίση και διχασμό μέσα στην αμερικάνικη κοινωνία γιατί θα φάει τα μούτρα του. .

Υπό την σκιά των σοβαρότατων αμφιβολιών για το πώς ενημέρωνεται ο αμερικανός πρόεδρος, αφού υπόνησε ότι κάποια επίθεση ή κάποιο άλλο αιματηρό περιστατικό «έγινε στη Σουηδία την Παρασκευή το βράδυ», ο Τραμπ προσπάθησε να… δώσει εξηγήσεις για το τι εννοούσε.
Η δικαιολογία που έφερε ο Τραμπ βρίσκεται στα όρια του πιστευτού (για τους υποστηρικτές του πάντως, φτάνει και περισσεύει) αλλά σε κάθε περίπτωση η σουηδική πρεσβεία στις ΗΠΑ δηλώνει, ευγενικά, «διαθέσιμη» να ενημερώνει τον πρόεδρο.

Το Σάββατο, ο Τραμπ είχε προσπαθήσει ξανά να αιτιολογήσει την απόπειρα για μπλόκο σε συγκεκριμένες ομάδες ξένων υπηκόων με το επιχείρημα πως αποτελούν κίνδυνο ασφάλειας και είναι επικίνδυνοι για επιθέσεις (σε εκείνο το μοτίβο κινείτο προ εβδομάδων και η αναφορά της Κέλι Αν Κόνγουεϊ για την «σφαγή του Μπόουλινγκ Γκριν», επίσης ανύπαρκτο περιστατικό).
Ως παράδειγμα, ο Τραμπ είχε πει το Σάββατο «δείτε τι έγινε χθες το βράδυ στη Σουηδία». Οι Σουηδοί απόρησαν, γιατί δεν είχαν πέσει στην αντίληψή τους τίποτα -ούτε επίθεση ούτε κάποιο βίαιο έγκλημα με δράστη μετανάστη, όπως πέραν πάσης αμφιβολίας υπονοούσε ο Τραμπ.
Μετά την κατακραυγή, ο αμερικανός πρόεδρος προσπάθησε να δώσει εξηγήσεις στο Twitter: «Η δήλωσή μου σχετικά με το τι συμβαίνει στη Σουηδία αναφερόταν σε θέμα που μεταδόθηκε από το Fox News και αφορούσε τους μετανάστες και την εγκληματικότητα στη Σουηδία».
Δηλαδή, ο Τραμπ ισχυρίστηκε ότι μιλούσε γενικά για «αύξηση της εγκληματικότητας» στη Σουηδία.
Μπορεί η Σουηδία να μην είναι παράδεισος επί Γης, αλλά ακόμη και αυτό ελέγχεται: Τα στοιχεία της επίσημης σουηδικής υπηρεσίας για την εγκληματικότητα δείχνουν μείωση στις περισσότερες κατηγορίες εγκλημάτων -με φαινομενική εξαίρεση, που στατιστικά μπορεί να είναι παραπλανητική, τα εγκλήματα σεξουαλικής φύσης, και αυτό ενώ τα τελευταία χρόνια έχει διευρυνθεί νομικά ο ορισμός του βιασμού (οπότε οι καταγγελίες είναι αριθμητικά περισσότερες).
Σαφέστατα, δεν έχει νόημα να λέει κανείς ότι η εγκληματικότητα αυξήθηκε «συγκεκριμένα τη νύχτα της Παρασκευής».
Οι υποστηρικτές του Τραμπ στα κοινωνικά δίκτυα εμφανίστηκαν ικανοποιημένοι από την εξήγησή του, προχωρώντας στην αντεπίθεση και… διαρρηγνύοντας τα (διαδικτυακά) ιμάτιά τους για τα ΜΜΕ που «θάβουν» την αύξηση της εγκληματικότητας στη Σουηδία.
Το σημαντικότερο της υπόθεσης αναδεικνεύει η αντίδραση της σουηδικής πρεσβείας στις ΗΠΑ: «Αδημονούμε να ενημερώσουμε την αμερικανική κυβέρνηση για την σουηδική μεταναστευτική πολιτική και την πολιτική ενσωμάτωσης». Το πρόβλημα που, πολύ «ευγενικά» έθιξε η πρεσβεία, είναι (πέραν όλων των άλλων) ο τρόπος με τον οποίο φαίνεται να επιλέγει να ενημερώνεται ο αμερικανός πρόεδρος.

Nearly a week has passed since two India-born engineers were singled out and shot at an Olathe bar, presumably because they were immigrants, darker in skin tone and possibly viewed by the shooter as unwanted foreigners.
People around the world were immediately and rightfully horrified.
But our president?
Mum. Not a word has been spoken, tweeted or prepped for Trump’s teleprompter.
Trump has offered no words of condolence for the grieving widow of Srinivas Kuchibhotla, who died from his gunshot wounds.
The president has expressed no sympathy for Kuchibhotla’s best friend, Alok Madasani, who continues to recover from bullet wounds and the trauma.
Trump usually loves to celebrate all-American heroes. But he’s passed on commending Ian Grillot, a bystander who leapt to take the gunman down before anyone else was harmed. Grillot was shot, too.

Then-Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) spoke twice last year with Russia’s ambassador to the United States, Justice Department officials said, encounters he did not disclose when asked about possible contacts between members of President Trump’s campaign and representatives of Moscow during Sessions’s confirmation hearing to become attorney general.
One of the meetings was a private conversation between Sessions and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak that took place in September in the senator’s office, at the height of what U.S. intelligence officials say was a Russian cyber campaign to upend the U.S. presidential race.
The previously undisclosed discussions could fuel new congressional calls for the appointment of a special counsel to investigate Russia’s alleged role in the 2016 presidential election. As attorney general, Sessions oversees the Justice Department and the FBI, which have been leading investigations into Russian meddling and any links to Trump’s associates. He has so far resisted calls to recuse himself.
When Sessions spoke with Kislyak in July and September, the senator was a senior member of the influential Armed Services Committee as well as one of Trump’s top foreign policy advisers. Sessions played a prominent role supporting Trump on the stump after formally joining the campaign in February 2016.
At his Jan. 10 Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing, Sessions was asked by Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) what he would do if he learned of any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of the 2016 campaign.
“I’m not aware of any of those activities,” he responded. He added: “I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I did not have communications with the Russians.”
Officials said Sessions did not consider the conversations relevant to the lawmakers’ questions and did not remember in detail what he discussed with Kislyak.
“There was absolutely nothing misleading about his answer,” said Sarah Isgur Flores, Sessions’s spokeswoman.
In January, Sen. Patrick J. Leahy (D-Vt.) asked Sessions for answers to written questions. “Several of the President-elect’s nominees or senior advisers have Russian ties. Have you been in contact with anyone connected to any part of the Russian government about the 2016 election, either before or after election day?” Leahy wrote.
Sessions responded with one word: “No.”

When asked to comment on Sessions’s contacts with Kislyak, Franken said in a statement to The Post on Wednesday: “If it’s true that Attorney General Sessions met with the Russian ambassador in the midst of the campaign, then I am very troubled that his response to my questioning during his confirmation hearing was, at best, misleading.”
Franken added: “It is now clearer than ever that the attorney general cannot, in good faith, oversee an investigation at the Department of Justice and the FBI of the Trump-Russia connection, and he must recuse himself immediately.”
Several Democratic members of the House on Wednesday night called on Sessions to resign from his post.
“After lying under oath to Congress about his own communications with the Russians, the Attorney General must resign,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said in a statement, adding that “Sessions is not fit to serve as the top law enforcement officer of our country.”

Βεβαια να πω οτι πολιτικες ενημερωτικές εκπομπες δεν παρακολουθω ουτε στην ΕΡΤ αλλα ουτε και στα ιδιωτικα καναλια. Οπως επισης δεν παρακολουθω, πρωιναδικα και μεσημεριαναδικα, σε κανενα καναλι.
Ομως εχω παρακολουθησει βραδυνες προβολες ταινιων στην ΕΡΤ, και εχω εντυπωσιασθει με την ποιοτητα των ταινιων. Ταινιες απο χωρες που μεχρι προσφατα ουδεποτε ειδαμε στην ΕΡΤ, (Δανια, Σουηδια, Γερμανια, Νορβηγια,Γαλλια, κλπ. αλλα και χωρων αλλων Ηπειρων , ταινιες με ποιοτικα χαρακτηριστικα και σαφως «παιδευτικο» χαρακτηρα.
Ετσι αν θελει κανεις να αποφυγει τις αμερικανιες των αλλων καναλιων, αν δει τηλεοραση καποιο βραδυ, προτιμα την ΕΡΤ για μια ταινια.

In tweeting accusations that former President Barack Obama ordered surveillance of his campaign, President Donald Trump potentially made public the existence of Top Secret wiretaps – a move that would be a federal crime, if performed by anyone other than the commander-in-chief.
Trump’s stunning allegation came in an early morning tweetstorm, in which he wrote in part: “Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory.”
Because the sitting president offered no evidence to back up his claim, it wasn’t clear whether the tweet – which was followed by four others taking on his predecessor, including one misspelling the word “tap” – was based on classified knowledge he received in his capacity as president, or on an article posted yesterday to the conservative Breitbart website.
It also isn’t known whether such federal wiretaps actually existed.
If – through his tweets – Trump revealed secret government information about surveillance, he exercised an exclusive privilege afforded only to the president as the ultimate declassification authority.
If any other government employee had single-handedly made such revelations they could see prison time for potentially damaging U.S. national security, a former official with intimate knowledge of the government secrecy policies told ABC News.
“It’s an extremely serious offense,” ABC News Contributor Matt Olsen, who is the former director of the National Counterterrorism Center and a former FBI counsel, explained.
“Anyone who would reveal the existence of a wiretap would violate federal law,” he said. “It is against federal law to disclose the existence of a wiretap, whether that wiretap is for criminal purposes or intelligence purposes.”

The White House has so-far offered no clarification on whether the president was citing sensitive, non-public information, or whether it was prompted by a loose reading of the Breitbart article – itself based on a segment from conspiracy-loving radio host Mark Levin.
In his Thursday night program, Levin rhetorically asked, “How many of Trump’s people were eavesdropped on, how many had their conversations intercepted, recorded, transcribed? Because this ladies and gentlemen is the big scandal.»
Regardless of what prompted the rancorous tweets, a spokesman for the former president denied any wiretaps were ordered by then-President Barack Obama.

Άλλο παρακολουθούν τον Τράμπ, άλλο παρακολολουθούν άτομα από το επιτελείο που ήταν κώλος και βρακί με τους ρώσους, όπως ο Φλύν, ο Μάναφορτ, και άλλοι.
Σε σχέση με τον Τράμπ τα λένε και τα άρθρα που έχω παραθέσει παραπάνω, είτε λέει πάλι ξεδιάντροπα ψέμματα (το πιθανότερο), είτε όντως παρακολουθούνταν, όχι όμως κατ’ εντολή του Ομπάμα, όπως ισχυρίζεται ο τσαρλατάνος, και αυτό επειδή ο εκάστοτε πρόεδρος δεν έχει την δυνατότητα να διατάξει τέτοιου τύπου έρευνα. Τέτοιοιου τύπου έρευνα, για ζητήματα εθνικής ασφάλειας, μπορεί να διατάξει μόνο το υπουργείο δικαιοσύνης, αλλά και πάλι κατόπιν εντάλματος από το λεγόμενο FISA court (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court). Η εκδοση ανάλογου εντάλματος μπορεί να συμβεί μόνο όταν υπάρχουν βάσιμες υπόνοιες ότι ο παρακολουθούμενος συνιστά ενδεχομένως κίνδυνο για την εθνική ασφάλεια των ΗΠΑ. Εαν λοιπόν αυτό αληθεύει τότε σημαίνει ότι το συγκεκριμένο δικαστήριο έκρινε ότι ο Τραμπ ενδεχομένως συνιστά κίνδυνο για την εθνική ασφάλεια των ΗΠΑ και έτσι εξέδωσε ένταλμα παρακολούθησής του. Στην όλη διαδικασία ο εκάστοτε πρόεδρος δεν μπορεί να πάιξει κανένα ρόλο, γιατί πολύ απλά δεν έχει καμία αρμοδιότητα επι της ολης διαδικασίας.

Ο κατουρομαλλιάς τσαρλατάνος – είτε γιατί λέει τέτοια ξεδιάντροπα ψέμματα είτε γιατί όντως τον έχει θέσει υπο παρακολούθηση το FISA επειδή θεωρεί ότι ενδεχομένως συνιστά κίνδυνο για την εθνική ασφάλεια των ΗΠΑ – είναι βουτηγμένος στα σκατά μέχρι τον λαιμό. It didn’t last long.
Immediately before and after his well-received speech to a joint session of Congress on Feb. 28, President Trump curtailed his use of Twitter. “For precisely four days, eight hours and five minutes, Trump refrained from tweeting anything inflammatory,” the Washington Post noted. “That’s 6,245 consecutive minutes!”
That self-restraint began to break down on the evening of March 2, just two days after his big speech, when Trump accused Democrats of having “lost their grip on reality” and engaging in a “total ‘witch hunt.’” Just before 1 p.m. the next day, he tweeted a picture of Vladimir Putin and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) having coffee and donuts, lifted directly from the Drudge Report, accompanied by the mock demand for “an immediate investigation into @SenSchumer and his ties to Russia and Putin. A total hypocrite!” Then a few hours later came a picture of Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) meeting with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in 2010 underneath the caption: “I hereby demand a second investigation, after Schumer, of Pelosi for her close ties to Russia, and lying about it.” (It took the president with the “very good brain” three tries to spell “hereby” correctly, having first tried “hear by” and “hearby.”)
The presumption behind those tweets was that there was some kind of ethical or legal equivalence between the public meetings that Democratic lawmakers held with Russian leaders and the lies — in Attorney General Jeff Sessions’s case under oath — that Trump aides told about their own private meetings with Russian representatives while Putin was intervening in the presidential election to help Trump. This notion can only be credible to the most purblind Trump partisans — the same people who would take seriously Trump’s even more sensational allegations, soon to come.
At 6:35 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, the president of the United States tweeted from his weekend getaway, Mar-a-Lago: “Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!” A few minutes later: “Is it legal for a sitting President to be ‘wire tapping’ a race for president prior to an election? Turned down by court earlier. A NEW LOW!” Followed by: “How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!” (“Tapp”? “Hearby”? Doesn’t Trump’s phone have a spell-checker?)
Having supposedly uncovered a scandal comparable to Watergate, what did the president do next? He took a respite from Twitter for more than an hour, until 8:19 a.m., when he sent out an insult against the actor who replaced him on The Celebrity Apprentice: “Arnold Schwarzenegger isn’t voluntarily leaving the Apprentice, he was fired by his bad (pathetic) ratings, not by me. Sad end to great show.” (So much for Trump’s premature claim to Congress on Tuesday night that the “time for trivial fights is behind us.”) And then he headed out for a nice round of golf.
It was left to Trump’s aides, the news media, and members of Congress to answer the “Huh??? What???” questions. Had Trump actually gotten his hands on classified information that the FBI had wiretapped him during the Obama administration? There are only two ways this could have occurred: Either the FBI had presented a court with evidence that Trump was engaged in criminal activity or was an agent of a foreign power, or Obama had ordered an illegal wiretap. Either conclusion would be scandalous. But after a frantic weekend of fact-checking, no evidence whatsoever was presented by the White House to support Trump’s allegations, which were denied by everyone from Obama’s spokesman to James Clapper, the former director of national intelligence, and FBI Director James Comey.
It’s possible that Trump aides were wiretapped as part of a broader FBI probe into the connections between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin or were simply recorded, as had been the case with former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, during the routine monitoring of Russian officials. But there is no reason to think that Trump himself had been a target of the wiretapping, nor that Obama interfered in the lawful workings of the FBI. It appears that Trump had gotten his information not from a top-secret briefing but from a Breitbart article long on innuendo and short on verifiable facts.
One would be tempted to say that the president’s reliance on “alternative facts” to smear his predecessor is the real scandal here were it not for the fact that an actual, honest-to-goodness scandal — one that may conceivably rival Watergate — is at the bottom of this ruckus. Why, after all, did Trump have a midweek meltdown that dashed pundits’ hopes that he would act in more sober fashion? The answer is as obvious as it is significant: On the evening of March 1, the day after his lauded speech, major new revelations emerged about the mysterious links between the Trump camp and the Kremlin.
The New York Times was first out of the gate that evening with a story reporting: “American allies, including the British and the Dutch, had provided information describing meetings in European cities between Russian officials — and others close to Russia’s president, Vladimir V. Putin — and associates of President-elect Trump, according to three former American officials who requested anonymity in discussing classified intelligence. Separately, American intelligence agencies had intercepted communications of Russian officials, some of them within the Kremlin, discussing contacts with Trump associates.”
The Times story would have been big news were it not almost immediately overshadowed by a Washington Post article with an even more alarming finding: “Then-Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) spoke twice last year with Russia’s ambassador to the United States, Justice Department officials said, encounters he did not disclose when asked about possible contacts between members of President Trump’s campaign and representatives of Moscow during Sessions’s confirmation hearing to become attorney general.”
Smaller but still significant revelations followed the next day. The Wall Street Journal reported that Donald Trump Jr. “was likely paid at least $50,000 for an appearance late last year before a French think tank whose founder and his wife are allies of the Russian government in efforts to end the war in Syria.” (What could Trump Jr. say that would possibly be worth $50,000?) J.D. Gordon, Trump’s national security advisor during the campaign, admitted that, contrary to his earlier denials, he had directly intervened at Trump’s instigation to remove the language in the 2016 Republican platform which had called on the United States to arm Ukraine against Russian aggression. And campaign advisor Carter Page admitted that, contrary to his earlier denials, he had met with the Russian ambassador at the Republican National Convention. It is hard to imagine why so many people would lie if they didn’t have something pretty significant to cover up.
Out of all of these revelations it was the news about Sessions — which may open him to perjury charges — that was the most significant. In response to the Post report, the attorney general was forced to recuse himself from the Kremlingate inquiry, much to the fury of President Trump, who was not consulted about this decision. This is what led to Trump’s wild-eyed rants on Twitter, designed to distract from the real scandal and to convince his more credulous followers that he is the victim of a plot by his predecessor.
But why would Sessions’ recusal make Trump so unhinged? The president must have felt relatively confident that the “Kremlingate” probe would go nowhere as long as it was in the hands of Trump partisans such as Sessions, Rep. Devin Nunes of the House Intelligence Committee, and Sen. Richard Burr of the Senate Intelligence Committee. But with Sessions out of the picture, the way is now clear for the deputy attorney general — either the current placeholder, career Justice Department attorney Dana Boente, or Trump’s nominee to replace him, Rod Rosenstein, another career government lawyer — to appoint a special counsel because of the “extraordinary circumstances” surrounding this case.
A special counsel would not have the same degree of autonomy as the independent counsels who in the post-Watergate era probed executive-branch misconduct until the law authorizing such appointments expired in 1999. Independent counsels were appointed by, and answerable to, a three-judge panel; special counsels can be appointed, and fired, by the Justice Department. But a special counsel would be expected to investigate much more aggressively than the White House would like, and firing a special counsel would only aggravate the scandal. In addition to a special counsel, Congress could and should appoint a joint select committee to look into Kremlingate and issue a public report, but a special counsel would be likely to conduct a more professional investigation and, unlike lawmakers, would possess the power to indict, which may help loosen the tongues of suspects.
There is a good reason why Trump and his partisans are so apoplectic about the prospect of a special counsel, and it is precisely why it is imperative to appoint one: because otherwise we will never know the full story of the Kremlin’s tampering with our elections and of the Kremlin’s connections with the president of the United States. As evidenced by his desperate attempts to change the subject, Trump appears petrified of what such a probe would reveal. Wonder why?

Τον θυμάστε? Εκείνο τον λομπίστα του Ερντογάν, που έκανε ένα σύντομο πέρασμα από την θέση του συμβούλου εθνικής ασφάλειας των ΗΠΑ, μέχρι την στιγμή που παραιτήθηκε, λόγω στενών σχέσεων με τους ρώσους?
Το ότι υπήρξε λομπίστας του Ερντογάν πιστοποιείται πλέον και επίσημα, και μάλιστα μέχρι την στιγμή, πάνω κάτω, που ανέλαβε το πόστο του συμβούλου εθν. ασφάλειας – με αίτησή της στο υπουργείο δικαιοσύνης των ΗΠΑ, η εταιρεία του παραδέχεται ότι όντως παρείχε υπηρεσίες σε ένα τύπο που είναι κώλος και βρακί με το κυβερνόν κόμμα της Τουρκίας, με τον Ερντογάν δηλαδή.
Α, και μία λεπτομέρεια, παρότι τον είχαν βγάλει στην σέντρα αμέσως μετά τις εκλογές της 8ης Νοεμβρίου (έχω παραθέσει εκείνα τα άρθρα στις αντίστοιχες αναρτήσεις εδω πέρα) για αυτές τις στενές σχέσεις του με την τουρκική κυβέρνηση εκείνος, δια των εκπροσώπων του στην εταιρεία, το αρνούνταν. Τώρα, το παραδέχτηκε.
(Kαι ας αναλογιστούμε τι ενδεχομένως θα σήμαινε για την Ελλάδα η παραμονή ενός λομπίστα του Ερντογάν στην θέση του ΣΕΑ του Λευκού Οίκου, θέση πολύ υψηλά ιστάμενη στην ιεραρχία της εκάστοτε αμερικάνικης κυβέρνησης.)
Disgraced Trump adviser Mike Flynn admits he worked as a “foreign agent” for the Turkish government
Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who was fired in February after lying about his contacts with the Russian government, has formally registered with the Justice Department as a “foreign agent” and admitted that he had lobbied on behalf of the Turkish government as recently as November 2016.
As the Associated Press reports, Flynn’s lawyer filed paperwork with the Justice Department Tuesday disclosing that the retired Army general had done lobbying work between August and November 2016 that “could be construed to have principally benefited the Republic of Turkey.” According to the filing, Flynn’s company, Flynn Intel Group Inc., was paid at least $530,000 for the work.
Flynn’s contract ended on November 15, just three days before Trump appointed him national security adviser.
Still, the disclosure that Trump’s top campaign adviser on all issues of national security and foreign policy was receiving money to lobby on behalf of a foreign power all the way through Election Day is another black eye for Flynn, who has the rare distinction of having been fired by two US presidents (Barack Obama ousted him because of his mismanagement of the Defense Intelligence Agency). The FBI is also continuing to probe Flynn’s communications with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in the aftermath of the election.
Here’s what we know.
It all starts with a bizarrely pro-Turkish op-ed Flynn wrote
Suspicions about Flynn’s ties to the Turkish government were sparked by an op-ed he wrote in the Hill on November 8 that basically read like a bald piece of Turkish propaganda. In it, Flynn, who had been Trump’s top national security aide during the campaign, slammed the outgoing Obama administration — and the US media more broadly — for not being supportive enough of Turkey’s autocratic leader, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
“The US media is doing a bang-up job of reporting the Erdoğan government’s crackdown on dissidents, but it’s not putting it into perspective,” Flynn writes. “We must begin with understanding that Turkey is vital to U.S. interests.”

The Daily Caller finds documents tying Flynn’s consulting firm to the Turkish government
To summarize: A Trump campaign surrogate with substantial influence over the incoming president’s foreign policy views wrote an article parroting a conspiracy theory propagated by the Turkish government to justify a brutal and far-reaching crackdown on political dissent.
That got some American journalists wondering if there was something more there. And sure enough, just three days after the op-ed ran, the Daily Caller published a stunning report showing very suggestive links between Flynn’s consulting firm and the Turkish government.
In October 2014, shortly after he was fired from his job as director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Flynn founded a consultancy called Flynn Intel Group Inc. The Daily Caller found documents showing a Dutch company called Inovo BV hired the Flynn Intel Group in August 2015 to lobby Congress on bills funding the departments of State and Defense.
Inovo was founded by a Turkish businessman named Ekim Alptekin, an Erdoğan ally who holds a top position on Turkey’s Foreign Economic Relations Board. Alptekin, the Daily Caller reports, even helped coordinate Erdoğan’s 2016 visit to the US.
Flynn’s consulting firm had already filed a lobbying disclosure to Congress stating that it was working for Inovo. But the disclosure did not include anything about the company’s ties to the Turkish government. And, as the AP report notes, “neither Flynn nor his company had filed paperwork with the Justice Department, which requires more extensive transparency about work that benefits foreign governments and political interests.”
After the Daily Caller report, Flynn’s company flatly denied having any ties to the Turkish government.
«Flynn Intel Group has no commercial relationship with the government of Turkey and Lt. General Michael Flynn’s public statements on foreign affairs and national security issues are entirely his own,» Robert Kelley, the Flynn Intel Group’s general counsel whose name was on the initial disclosure to Congress, said in a statement to Politico.
Alptekin also denied it, telling Politico, “I have absolutely no affiliation with the policies of the Turkish government.”
Just so we’re clear here: The founder of Inovo, who serves on Turkey’s Foreign Economic Relations Board (members of which are chosen by Turkey’s general assembly and its minister of economy), denied that his company is affiliated with the Turkish government.
What the new Justice Department filings show
The new Justice Department documents essentially confirm that — contrary to the claims of both Kelley and Alptekin — the lobbying that Flynn Intel Group technically did for Inovo was actually being done on behalf of the Turkish government.
The filings by Flynn attorney Robert Kelner merely state that the lobbying “could be construed to have principally benefited the Republic of Turkey,” and maintain that “Inovo is a privately owned company that has not received, directly or indirectly funds or financial support from any government during the course of its engagement of Flynn Intel Group Inc., including the Republic of Turkey.”
But, again, the head of Inovo is literally a Turkish government appointee. And the Justice Department requires you to register as a foreign agent if the «principal beneficiary» of the work you’re doing is a foreign government, even if that foreign government is not the actual client.
And other details revealed in the filings leave little doubt about the ties to the Turkish government. From the AP report:
According to the new paperwork, Flynn’s firm took on the Turkish-related lobbying work in August while he was a top Trump campaign surrogate. Flynn Intel disclosed in its filing that in mid-September, the company was invited by Alptekin to meet with Turkish officials in New York.
Alptekin acknowledged Wednesday that he had set up the meeting between Flynn and the two officials. He said they met at an undisclosed hotel in New York. Alptekin said Flynn happened to be in New York while the Turkish officials were attending United Nations sessions and a separate conference Alptekin had arranged.
«I asked one of Gen. Flynn’s staff if he was in town and would be available to meet and they got in touch with him,» said Alptekin, who owns several businesses in Turkey.
Among those officials, the documents said, were Turkey’s ministers of foreign affairs and energy. Flynn’s company did not name the officials but reported the two worked for Turkey’s government «to the best of Flynn Intel Group’s current understanding.»
The new filings also reveal that Inovo paid Flynn’s firm $535,000 between September 9 and November 15 for lobbying services.
The firm’s assignment, per Politico, focused on Fethullah Gülen.
According to the filing, Flynn Intel Group also met in October with a representative of the House Homeland Security Committee to discuss a technology developed by another Flynn Intel Group client. An unnamed US official “with direct knowledge of Flynn Intel’s work” told Politico that “after discussing the technology, the firm changed the subject to Gulen, pressuring the committee to hold congressional hearings to investigate the cleric.”
In a letter to the Justice Department submitted as part of the filings, Kelner stated that the company had believed at the time that the congressional disclosure was sufficient but had now decided to retroactively register as a foreign agent.
«Nevertheless, because of the subject matter of Flynn Intel Group’s work for Inovo, which focused on Mr. Fethullah Gulen, whose extradition is sought by the Government of Turkey, the engagement could be construed to have principally benefited the Republic of Turkey,» Kelner wrote.
On Thursday, an editorial note appeared at the bottom of Flynn’s November op-ed — the one denouncing Gülen and calling for his extradition — stating that Flynn did not disclose that he had received payment from Inovo, or that he had reviewed the draft with Alptekin, when he submitted the essay to the Hill.
Why any of this matters
The Justice Department filings state that Flynn’s firm had ceased operations in November, which means he wasn’t receiving money from the company with ties to the Turkish government while he was Trump’s national security adviser.
But it was pretty damn close — he was literally acting as an agent of a foreign government right up to the point that he became Trump’s national security adviser, and during a time when he was acting as a top Trump campaign surrogate.
Given Trump’s constant criticism during the campaign about the Clinton Foundation taking money from foreign countries, and Flynn’s own criticism of Hillary Clinton’s “lack of accountability,” this is pretty rich.

Παρότι τα περισσότερα μέλη του υπουργικού συμβουλίου του Τραμπ δεν έχουν ακόμη επιλέξει τους βασικούς συνεργάτες τους, ο Λευκός Οίκος έχει ήδη θέσει γύρω τους ένα πλαίσιο συμβούλων και βοηθών, το οποίο έχει ως κύριο σκοπό του τον έλεγχο της αφοσίωσής τους στον Αμερικανό πρόεδρο, σύμφωνα με οκτώ Αμερικανούς αξιωματούχους εντός και εκτός της κυβέρνησης, αναφέρει σε δημοσίευμά της η εφημερίδα Washington Post. Αυτό το σκιώδες καθεστώς των συμβούλων του Λευκού Οίκου, οι οποίοι θυμίζουν τους κομισάριους της σοβιετικής εποχής που συνόδευαν τους στρατιωτικούς διοικητές, για να ελέγχουν τη νομιμοφροσύνη τους απέναντι στο καθεστώς, έχει εξαπλωθεί σε όλα σχεδόν τα υπουργεία, καθώς και σε μικρότερες υπηρεσίες όπως η NASA.
Σύμφωνα με τις αναφορές των κυβερνητικών αξιωματούχων, οι σύμβουλοι αυτοί δίνουν αναφορά στο Γραφείο Υπουργικών Υποθέσεων, του οποίου ηγείται ο αναπληρωτής προσωπάρχης του Λευκού Οίκου, Ρικ Ντιρμπόρν, πραγματοποιώντας εβδομαδιαίες συσκέψεις. Παρότι φαινομενικά σκοπός τους είναι να λειτουργούν ως μεσάζοντες στην επικοινωνία του κάθε υπουργείου με τον Λευκό Οίκο, ο πραγματικός, παρασκηνιακός τους ρόλος έγκειται στο να ελέγχουν ότι η προεδρική ατζέντα βρίσκεται στο κέντρο της πολιτικής του κάθε υπουργείου, χωρίς να υπάρχουν πολλές παρεκτροπές από αυτήν.
Η πρωτοφανής αυτή πρακτική, την οποία δεν χρησιμοποίησε κανείς από τους τρεις προηγούμενους προέδρους, έχει γίνει ήδη αντικείμενο κριτικής, με πολλούς να πιστεύουν ότι μπορεί να καλλιεργήσει κλίμα χάους, δυσπιστίας και χαμηλής αποδοτικότητας στα υπουργεία, κυρίως από τη στιγμή που οι επικεφαλής τους θα αρχίσουν να επιλέγουν το προσωπικό τους. Επιπλέον, η καθυστερημένη τοποθέτηση ηγεσίας σε ορισμένα υπουργεία αύξησε την εξουσία των συμβούλων σε ορισμένες περιπτώσεις, όπως για παράδειγμα στο υπουργείο Γεωργίας, όπου η καθυστέρηση στην τοποθέτηση υπουργού έχει αφήσει τους νωρίτερα διορισμένους συμβούλους του Λευκού Οίκου να συνεχίζουν να ασκούν το μεγαλύτερο μέρος της υπουργικής εξουσίας. Σύμφωνα με τους αξιωματούχους που περιέγραψαν τους τρόπους λειτουργίας του συγκεκριμένου συστήματος, ο Τραμπ δεν έχει μακροχρόνιες σχέσεις εμπιστοσύνης με κανένα μέλος του υπουργικού του συμβουλίου, με αποτέλεσμα να είναι εξαιρετικά σημαντικό να μπορεί να μετρά την αφοσίωσή τους προς αυτόν.
Μία αντίστοιχη πρακτική διορισμού συμμάχων και απομάκρυνσης αντιπάλων είχε ακολουθήσει στα μέσα του 19ου αιώνα και ο Αβραάμ Λίνκολν, έχοντας ωστόσο να αντιμετωπίσει μία χώρα βυθισμένη στον εμφύλιο πόλεμο, μία κυβέρνηση διχασμένη και έναν στρατό με πολλούς αξιωματικούς που έβλεπαν με συμπάθεια τη Συνομοσπονδία του Νότου.

Tillerson plans to skip NATO meeting, visit Russia in April
U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson plans to skip a meeting with NATO foreign ministers next month in order to stay home for a visit by China’s president and will go to Russia later in April, U.S. officials said on Monday, disclosing an itinerary that allies may see as giving Moscow priority over them.
Tillerson intends to miss what would have been his first meeting of the 28 NATO allies on April 5-6 in Brussels so that he can attend President Donald Trump’s expected April 6-7 talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, four current and former U.S. officials said.
Skipping the NATO meeting and visiting Moscow could risk feeding a perception that Trump may be putting U.S. dealings with big powers first, while leaving waiting those smaller nations that depend on Washington for security, two former U.S. officials said.
Trump has often praised Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Tillerson worked with Russia’s government for years as a top executive at Exxon Mobil Corp, and has questioned the wisdom of sanctions against Russia that he said could harm U.S. businesses.
A State Department spokeswoman said Tillerson would meet on Wednesday with foreign ministers from 26 of the 27 other NATO countries — all but Croatia — at a gathering of the coalition working to defeat the Islamic State militant group.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg was due to have arrived in Washington on Monday for a three-day visit that was to include talks with U.S. Defense Secretary James Mattis and to take part in the counter-Islamic State meetings.
The State Department spokeswoman said Tillerson would not have a separate, NATO-focused meeting the 26 foreign ministers in Washington but rather that they would meet in the counter-Islamic State talks.
«After these consultations and meetings, in April he will travel to a meeting of the G7 (Group of Seven) in Italy and then on to meetings in Russia,» she added, saying U.S. Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Tom Shannon would represent the United States at the NATO foreign ministers meeting.

A former U.S. official and a former NATO diplomat, both speaking on condition of anonymity, said the alliance offered to change the meeting dates so Tillerson could attend it and the Xi Jinping talks but the State Department had rebuffed the idea.
The former diplomat said it was vital to present a united front toward Moscow. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization was created in 1949 to serve as a bulwark against the Soviet Union.
«Given the challenge that Russia poses, not just to the United States but to Europe, it’s critical to engage on the basis of a united front if at all possible,» the diplomat said.

Μα ποιο ειναι το περιεργο στη διακυβερνηση Τραμπ;;
Απλουστατα ο Τραμπ λειτουργει ως businessman. Δεν εχει καμια σχεση ουτε με τη διεθνη πολιτικη ουτε βεβαια με τη διπλωματια.
Τον ενδιαφερουν οι σχεσεις με τους ισχυρους «ανταγωνιστες» προσβλεποντας σε οικονομικα οφελη.Ετσι λειτουργουν οι επιχειρησεις, επιδιωκοντας την αυξηση του ποσοστου κερδους.
Οι σχεσεις με μικροτερης σημασιας συμμαχους οπως το ΝΑΤΟ, δεν ειναι στην «προεδρικη ατζεντα»., Αντιθετα τις θεωρει και «ζημιογονες» εφοσον επιβαρυνουν τον προυπολογισμο του.
Οταν λεει America first, εννοει την υπερισχυση των ΗΠΑ εναντι των οικονομικων αντιπαλων του, μια γνησια νοοτροπια ενος επιτυχημενου δισεκατομμυριουχου επιχειρηματία.

Ενη κατάλαβέ το, ο Τραμπ δεν έχει καμία σχέση με αυτό που ονομάζουμε «πετυχημένο επιχειρηματία». Ποτέ δεν θεωρήθηκε κάτι το ιδιαίτερο σαν επιχειρηματίας στις ΗΠΑ, ούτε και έχει στο ενεργητικό του κάποια μεγάλη επιχειρηματική επιτυχία όπως άλλοι. Τίποτα από όλα αυτά. Ακόμα και την περιουσία που έχει δεν την δημιούργησε ο ίδιος αλλά την κληρονόμησε από τον πατέρα του.
Γνωστός έχει γίνει όχι γιατί, τάχα, είναι κανας μεγάλος και τρανός επιχειρηματίας αλλά κυρίως γιατί είναι ένας σαλεμένος νάρκισσος, ο οποίος κατά καιρούς (λόγω ακριβώς αυτού του μαλακισμένου χαρακτήρα που έχει) έκανε διάφορες μαλακίες, οι οποίες προσείλκυαν τα φώτα της δημοσιότητας και έτσι έφτιαξε μία φήμη γύρω από το άτομό του. Με άλλα λόγια, την φήμη του δεν έφτιαξε με τις σούπερ ντούπερ επιχειρηματικές αποφάσεις που έχει πάρει (και οι οποίες τυχαίνει να είναι ανύπαρκτες) αλλά κυρίως λόγω διάφορων ενεργειών (άσχετων με την επιχειρηματική του δράση) οι οποίες είχαν να κάνουν με τα μμε και έτσι του έφεραν δημοσιότητα. Θα μπορούσε να πει κανείς πως ενω σαν επιχειρηματίας είναι μάπας, σαν δημοσιοσχεσίτης είναι καλός, αλλά ως εκεί.

Ότι είναι όλοι αυτοί οι ρουφιάνοι και λοιποί αυλοκόλακες που θέλει να έχει υπο τις διαταγές του ο κάθε τύπος με αυταρχική νοοτροπία (στην περίπτωση του Τραμπ παρα πολύ αυταρχική) που βρέθηκε στην κορυφή της κρατικής εξουσίας, και ο οποίος δεν εμπιστεύεται κανένα (εν μέρει λόγω αυτής ακριβώς της νοοτροπίας).

χαχαχα, ποιες αποφασεις;; ενας κτηματομεσιτης που δραστηριοποιουνταν στο realestate, κτιζοντας τα υπερπολυτελη κτηρια και ξενοδοχεια στις μεγαλουπολεις σε ολο τον κοσμο, βγαζοντας αμυθητα κερδη , δηλαδή ενας κροισος.
Τι δουλεια εχει βεβαια ενας τετοιος ανθρωπος να ηγειται μιας ισχυρης χωρας οπως οι ΗΠΑ, ειναι ενα ερωτημα που ταλανιζει και τον αμερικανικο λαο, αυτους που δεν τον θελουν και δεν τον ψηφισαν.
Και βεβαια χρειαζεται ενας τετοιος τυπος τους κομισαριους γιατι δεν εχει την αποδοχη εκατομμυριων πολιτων και μαλιστα δεδομενου οτι δεν πηρε και την πλειοψηφια των εκλογεων, λογω του αμερικανικου εκλογικου υτηματος που βγαζουν προεδρο οι εκλεκτορες.

Το νομοσχέδιο για την υγεία των ρεπουμπλικάνων το πήρε ο διάολος, θα γίνονταν σήμερα το απόγευμα η ψηφοφορία αλλά τελικά το αποσύρανε. Και αυτό γιατί δεν έβγαιναν τα κουκιά – θα το καταψήφιζαν και αρκετοί ρεπουμπλικάνοι και έτσι η ήττα θα ήταν ακόμα μεγαλύτερη. Ούτως ή άλλως πρόκειται για την πρώτη πολύ σημαντική πολιτική ήττα τόσο των ρεπουμπλικάνων οσο και του Τραμπ προσωπικά. Ο νόμος για την υγεία της κυβέρνησης Ομπάμα (το λεγόμενο Obamacare) παραμένει ως έχει μέχρι νεοτέρας.

House Republican leaders abruptly pulled a rewrite of the nation’s health-care system from consideration on Friday, a dramatic acknowledgment that they are so far unable to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

WASHINGTON — House Republican leaders, facing a revolt among conservatives and moderates in their ranks, pulled legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act from consideration on the House floor Friday afternoon in a spectacular defeat for President Trump on the first legislative showdown of his presidency.
House Speaker Paul D. Ryan conceded, “We’re going to be living with Obamacare for the foreseeable future.”
The defeat of the Republicans’ three-month blitz to repeal President Barack Obama’s signature domestic achievement exposed deep divisions in the Republican Party that the election of a Republican president could not mask. It also cast a shadow over the ambitious agenda that Mr. Trump and Republican leaders had promised to enact once their party assumed power on both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue.
The drama of the day only underscored the futility of the leaders’ efforts. Mr. Ryan had rushed to the White House shortly after noon to tell Mr. Trump he did not have the votes for a repeal bill that had been promised for seven years — since the day Mr. Obama signed his landmark health care act into law.

And in private, Mr. Trump took a much harder line. The president was furious that members of the hard-line conservative Freedom Caucus had opposed the legislation, and he demanded for much of Thursday that Mr. Ryan push a vote to publicly expose the members who were opposing the administration.
Mr. Trump and his his top strategist, Stephen K. Bannon, demanded to see a confidential whip count list compiled to exact revenge on the the bill’s Republican opponents, according to two people with direct knowledge of the situation.
The key moment — when the parties decided to withdraw the doomed measure — came during a 3 p.m. phone call with Mr. Ryan and the president, who was in the Oval Office. Mr. Ryan told Mr. Trump the scorched-earth strategy was misguided and self-destructive.
Mr. Ryan, according to staff members, agreed that members of the Freedom Caucus weren’t negotiating in good faith, but he said that punishing them would also harm members who were simply trying to protect themselves from potential conservative primary challenges next year.
The speaker sealed the deal by telling Mr. Trump a public vote would turn a bad defeat into a spectacular loss that could alienate conservatives whom he would need for upcoming votes to raise the debt ceiling, pass a budget,and enact an ambitious rewrite of the tax code. Retribution could also jeopardize the $1 trillion infrastructure package championed by Mr. Bannon.
Mr. Trump, aides said, was still annoyed, but agreed.

For President Donald Trump, the collapse on Friday of his first legislative priority, a healthcare reform bill, was an embarrassing loss of face after he and his administration insisted up until the time of the vote by the U.S. House of Representatives that there was enough Republican support.
It brings into question the neophyte president’s ability to move big-ticket legislation through Congress. And for a celebrity businessman who brands himself a deal-maker and fixer, it casts doubt over his ability to deliver on his bold «drain-the-swamp» promises to shake up Washington.
The White House wants to advance, among other things, tax reform and a massive infrastructure package this year, but now it must address whether a change of approach is needed and whether congressional allies such as House Speaker Paul Ryan can be counted on to deliver.
«This is the most consequential day of Trump’s presidency and it’s not just a failure, it’s a stunning failure,” Charlie Sykes, an influential Wisconsin Republican political commentator and frequent Trump critic, said on Twitter.
Trump appeared to chalk up the loss in part to his own inexperience after House leaders pulled their bill to repeal and replace Obamacare following defections by both moderate and far-right Republican members who were unmoved by Trump’s ultimatum to vote for the plan or live with the current system.
“We learned a lot about loyalty. We learned a lot about the vote-getting process,” Trump said after the bill was withdrawn, adding that he would move forward with other priorities.
It was yet another setback for an administration barely two months in office that has already seen its national security adviser resign, had its immigration restrictions struck down in courts, and faces a barrage of questions about the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia.
Trump’s hallmark salesmanship seemed to abandon him this week. Although he furiously courted the hard-line conservatives opposed to the reform bill, they largely refused to yield, and in the process he alienated moderates who initially supported the bill.
The president then switched tactics and gave up trying to bring the conservative opponents into the fold, instead delivering an ultimatum that all Republicans needed to back the bill. That did not work either.
Trump also failed to persuade the American public that the bill was an improvement over the one it would have repealed and replaced: the Affordable Care Act – the signature domestic achievement of former Democratic President Barack Obama. Polls showed the replacement bill to be deeply unpopular, and conservative Republicans complained that their offices were being deluged by calls from constituents opposing it.

Stuart Diamond, a professor who teaches negotiation at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, said Trump’s strong-arm tactics backfired.
“Threats don’t work in general,” he said. “They cause damage to relationships. They definitely don’t work in a situation with a lot of different stakeholders, where the power is distributed.”

Congress now faces arguably an even tougher legislative reform: overhauling the tax code, which has not been done since 1986 and involves navigating a snake pit of competing special interests. Like Trump’s healthcare proposal, it could struggle against public opinion, with Democrats likely to cast it as a Republican giveaway to the rich.
There was also a feeling among some Republicans that they had escaped a looming disaster. Even if the bill had passed the House, it faced a radical overhaul in the Senate, meaning both chambers would have been tied up battling over the bill for weeks, perhaps months.
And if it became law and millions of voters lost health insurance, some Republicans feared they could suffer at the polls.

The Trump administration reportedly warned Russia of last night’s attack in advance, but the attack has still resulted in predictable anger from Moscow:
World leaders rallied around the United States after it launched a missile strike early Friday on a Syrian air base in response to this week’s chemical attack, while Russia condemned the move as “aggression” and suspended crucial coordination with Washington in Syria’s congested skies
The most immediate practical consequence of the attack is the end of Russia’s cooperation in deconflicting Syrian airspace. That is potentially hazardous for both Russian and American pilots, and may further complicate the ongoing anti-ISIS bombing campaign. It increases the chances that there will be more near-misses and possibly even accidental collisions. American pilots flying over Syria today are less safe today because Trump wanted to show the world how “tough” he is. Even if last night’s strikes were a one-time thing, that is already a high price to pay for the sake of sending a message.
The Kremlin’s spokesman said that the attack “deals a significant blow to Russia-U.S. relations, which are already in a deplorable shape.” It is not surprising that Russia isn’t pleased that our government has just attacked one of its clients, and it should put an end to the silly idea that Russia would have become more cooperative and less confrontational if Obama had ordered an attack in 2013. On the contrary, we should assume that tensions with Moscow over Syria and other disputed issues will increase in the weeks and months to come. The Trump administration may find that this attack contributes to many more headaches in the future on issues when they cannot gain Russia’s cooperation. Meanwhile, Russia has also announced that it will help the Syrian government improve its air defenses, so if the administration is going to be launching more attacks they may be even less effective.
Far from showing “strength” or “resolve” or whatever it is Trump thinks launching missiles shows, the president has shown to everyone in Washington that he is very easily pushed into taking military action by events and political pressure. His abrupt volte-face on Syria certainly confirms his phoniness, as Rod Dreher and Robert Merry have mentioned, but more than that it reinforces the impression that he is extremely pliable and easy to manipulate. Trump craves approval, and unfortunately he has just discovered that the quickest way to gain it from many denizens of Washington is to bomb something, no matter how ineffectual or dangerous that action may be. It is inevitable that Syria hawks will now be greatly encouraged to press for a larger intervention, and Trump has demonstrated that he will cave in to demands for “action” very quickly.
Last night’s attack probably won’t have have the desired effect on Syrian regime behavior, but it was significant in that Trump ordered it without Congressional authorization and without authorization from the U.N. Obama launched an illegal war in Libya in 2011 as far as U.S. law was concerned, but could at least claim to be acting on the basis of a Security Council resolution. Bush launched an invasion of Iraq that was illegal under international law, but had at least gone through the motions of securing Congressional authorization. Trump simply ordered an attack on a foreign government that posed no threat to the U.S. without explaining his reasons beforehand and without any debate or input from our elected representatives. Even if it doesn’t lead to a larger war, the fact remains that Trump had no authority to do what he did. Because most members of Congress don’t care about their responsibilities or constitutional limits on the power of the executive, he will very likely get away with it, and unfortunately that will help Trump or some future president to launch the next war with greater ease.

Με αφορμή κάποιες απόψεις του γνωστού δημοσιογράφου Τομ Φρήντμαν, ο συγγραφέας του άρθρου παρουσιάζει μία ανάλυση της κατάστασης στην Συρία, και γιατί αυτή η κατάτασταση μπορεί να καταστήσει άκρως προβληματική μία εκτεταμένη χερσαία επέμβαση των ΗΠΑ στη Συρία.
In many ways, New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman personifies the glib id of the American foreign-policy establishment. Like most members of the foreign-policy “Blob,” he thinks almost everything that happens anywhere is a vital interest of the United States, and is therefore something for which American blood and treasure should be spilled if necessary. Like most Americans, he thinks our country always acts from noble motives, even if the results are (repeatedly) ignoble. Like many U.S. leaders, he rarely acknowledges his own mistakes. If his advice gets followed and things go wrong, then somebody else must have screwed up (like those incompetent Bushies who bungled the occupation of Iraq, or those ungrateful Iraqis who didn’t realize what a wonderful gift we had given them). And instead of learning from experience, he makes the same analytical mistakes over and over again. Hmm. Sounds like some very powerful countries I know.
Case in point: his column in Wednesday’s New York Times discussing the dilemmas President Donald Trump faces in Syria. Friedman correctly points out that a chemical attack by forces allied with President Bashar al-Assad has exposed Trump’s naiveté about the Syrian conflict. And he may even be right in suggesting that the Trump administration’s poorly orchestrated statements about tolerating the Assad regime — made devoid of any diplomatic context or as part of a genuine quid pro quo — may have encouraged Assad to think he could escalate the war with impunity. In criticizing Trump, Friedman is on firm ground.
Now that Trump has ordered cruise missile strikes on the airbase from which the chemical strikes were launched, you might think the president has learned quickly and shown how “flexible” he is (a point Trump emphasized in his own remarks to the press on Thursday). The problem is that these attacks are a purely symbolic act devoid of real strategic significance. They are the Trumpian equivalent of Bill Clinton’s cruise missiles strikes in Sudan and Afghanistan: full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. They might deter Assad from further chemical weapons use, but they don’t alter the situation on the ground, don’t make Syrian civilians significantly safer, and don’t move us closer to a solution.

To be clear: Friedman is telling Trump to send a substantial body of U.S. ground troops into Syria for the purposes of “keeping the sectarian peace.” To his credit, he’s not offering bogus solutions like “no-fly zones,” but he is telling Trump that the only way to solve the problem is for the United States to invade Syria.
The temptation to embrace this proposal is obvious. What is happening in Syria is awful to behold (even without the use of chemical weapons), and we would all like to wave a magic wand and make it stop. It seems wimpy and irresponsible for the world’s most powerful country to be mostly (but not entirely) on the sidelines, while Russia or Iran are working hard on behalf of Assad. Unfortunately, many of the groups fighting Assad are no better than he is and deeply hostile to the United States. Every time we try to back Syrian “moderates” we end up unwittingly funneling more arms to dangerous jihadis.

Third, Friedman’s proposal assumes that the United States can quickly assemble a militarily effective coalition of NATO and/or Arab forces to enter Syrian territory and enforce peace. “If necessary,” he writes, we might have to send “some U.S. troops.” Who is he kidding? Does he seriously believe NATO and some Saudis, Egyptians, Jordanians, or Turks are ready and willing to enter the Syrian maelstrom, operate effectively there, and stay the course? Their collective temptation to shirk and pass the buck will be enormous, and Uncle Sucker will end up holding the bag in Syria, just as it has in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Once the peacekeepers arrive, what then? Friedman writes vaguely of a “primarily Sunni” safe zone, but where does that leave Syria’s non-Sunni population and where exactly does he propose to locate it? Does Friedman believe the various anti-Assad forces — including the Islamic State, Jabhat Fatah al-Sham, and other assorted jihadi groups, many of whom are Sunni — will welcome the occupiers with open arms? Will Russia and Iran simply fold their hands and cut a deal, and what might that deal be? If Assad falls, what would prevent a retributory bloodbath against innocent Alawis who were not complicit in Assad’s crimes? How will the occupying force figure out whom to support, whom to oppose, and who should be entrusted with the long-term future of Syria?

Oh, one more thing: What’s the exit strategy? Friedman never offers one, or gives any indication of his anticipated timeline. How long does he expect the United States and its coalition partners to be bogged down in Syria? If Iraq and Afghanistan are any guide, the answer is approximately forever.
Make no mistake. In the guise of benevolent humanitarian intervention, Friedman is calling — yet again! — for the United States to wage another war in the Greater Middle East. It has done so five times since 1990: in Iraq (twice), in Afghanistan (still underway), in Libya, in Somalia, and we’ve intervened on a smaller scale in Syria and Yemen. With the exception of the first Iraq War in 1991, none of these interventions has ended well. Or as former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mike Mullen put it last year, “We’re zero for a lot.” It is also worth remembering that the first Iraq War was successful because it was a purely conventional war (i.e., the kind we are good at fighting), did not involve seizing foreign territory, and did not lead to regime change, an American occupation, or the kind of elaborate social engineering that nation-building necessarily entails.
Syria remains a tragedy because there are no good options. Friedman knows that, I suspect, but he judges his proposal to be the “least bad” and says it is “worth a try.”
Ask yourself: Would you want to tell that to a young U.S. soldier about to deploy, or to a foreign government whose help you were trying to enlist? “Hey, it’s worth a try.” I’m sure Winston Churchill told his associates the disastrous assault on Gallipoli was “worth a try,” and I’ll bet German naval officials said the same thing about the unrestricted submarine warfare campaign that brought the United States into the war in 1917. Gen. Hideki Tojo probably thought the attack on Pearl Harbor was “worth a try,” and that’s what Friedman thought about invading Iraq back in 2003. By now, you’d think he’d know better.

Η αμερικανική πλευρά, που δεν κρύβει το ενδιαφέρον της για τον φυσικό πλούτο της Λιβύης, πιστεύει ότι στη νέα περίοδο ο τριμερισμός της χώρας είναι η μοναδική φόρμουλα για την έξοδο από την πολιτική κρίση.
Συγκεκριμένα, ο σύμβουλος του Προέδρου των ΗΠΑ, Sebastian Gorka σε πρόσφατη συνάντηση του με έναν Ευρωπαίο διπλωμάτη σχημάτισε με πρόχειρο τρόπο τον νέο χάρτη της Λιβύης.
Σύμφωνα λοιπόν, με τις πληροφορίες του βρετανικού δικτύου, η Λιβύη στην νέα περίοδο θα αναδιοργανωθεί με βάση το μοντέλο που ίσχυε την περίοδο της Οθωμανικής Αυτοκρατορίας. Στην σημερινή επικράτεια της Λιβύης θα δημιουργηθούν τρία νέα κράτη.
Ενα κράτος θα έχει ως πρωτεύουσα την Τρίπολη. Ένα νέο κράτος θα δημιουργηθεί στα σύνορα με το Τσαντ και ένα τρίτο στο δυτικό κομμάτι της χώρας.
Το BBC και τα τουρκικά μέσα που αναδημοσιεύουν την είδηση τονίζουν ότι ο κ. Γκόρκα καταβάλλει προσπάθειες για να αναλάβει το αξίωμα του ειδικού αντιπροσώπου του Προέδρου των ΗΠΑ στην Λιβύη και ότι ξεχωρίζει με τις ακραίες θέσεις του στο ζήτημα του σύγχρονου Ισλάμ. Επίσης, δυτικοί αναλυτές τονίζουν ότι το νέο αμερικανικό σχέδιο δεν πρόκειται να λύσει κανένα πρόβλημα που αντιμετωπίζουν οι λαοί της Λιβύης.

Ο αρχιμάλαξ Τραμπ το πάει τώρα σε κλιμάκωση με την Βόρεια Κορέα – ο υποψήφιος της «ειρήνης» όπως διατείνονταν πολλοί από τους χρήσιμους ηλίθιους υποστηρικτές του, φανεροί ή κρυφοί. Εαν κάνει δε κανείς μία γύρα σε ιστοσελίδες όπου συχνάζουν αυτοί θα διαπιστώσει ότι πολλοί από τους μαλάκες που τον υποστήριζαν έχουν πλέον αρχίσει και ξυπνάνε και βλέπουν τι σόϊ ανεκδιήγητος τσαρλατάνος είναι ο Τραμπ. Από την άλλη βέβαια, αν οι λεγάμενοι δεν ήταν οι ακροδεξιοί μαλάκες που είναι θα τους ήταν πολύ εύκολο ευθύς εξαρχής να αντιληφθούν ότι ένας καθ’ εξιν ψεύτης, ένας ξεδιάντροπος απατεώνας, ένας τσαρλατάνος όπως ο Τραμπ, δεν έχει ούτε αρχές ούτε συνέπεια. Τώρα που αρχίσανε και ξυπνάνε είναι πλέον πολύ αργά για δάκρυα.
North Korea state media warns of nuclear strike if provoked as U.S. warships approach
North Korean state media on Tuesday warned of a nuclear attack on the United States at any sign of U.S. aggression as a U.S. Navy strike group steamed towards the western Pacific.
U.S. President Donald Trump, who has urged China to do more to rein in its impoverished neighbour, said in a Tweet North Korea was «looking for trouble» and the United States would «solve the problem» with or without China’s help.
Tension has escalated sharply on the Korean peninsula with talk of military action by the United States gaining traction following its strikes last week against Syria and amid concerns the reclusive North may soon conduct a sixth nuclear test.
North Korea’s official Rodong Sinmun newspaper said the country was prepared to respond to any aggression by the United States.
«Our revolutionary strong army is keenly watching every move by enemy elements with our nuclear sight focused on the U.S. invasionary bases not only in South Korea and the Pacific operation theatre but also in the U.S. mainland,» it said.
South Korean acting President Hwang Kyo-ahn warned of «greater provocations» by North Korea and ordered the military to intensify monitoring and to ensure close communication with the United States.
«It is possible the North may wage greater provocations such as a nuclear test timed with various anniversaries including the Supreme People’s Assembly,» said Hwang, acting leader since former president Park Geun-hye was removed amid a graft scandal.
Trump said in a Tweet a trade deal between China and the United States would be «far better for them if they solved the North Korea problem».
«If China decides to help, that would be great,» he said. «If not, we will solve the problem without them!»
Trump and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, met in Florida last week and Trump pressed Xi to do more to rein in North Korea.
The North convened a Supreme People’s Assembly session on Tuesday, one of its twice-yearly sessions in which major appointments are announced and national policy goals are formally approved. It did not immediately release details.
But South Korean officials took pains to quell talk in social media of an impending security crisis or outbreak of war.
«We’d like to ask precaution so as not to get blinded by exaggerated assessment about the security situation on the Korean peninsula,» Defence Ministry spokesman Moon Sang-kyun said.

North Korea is emerging as one of the most pressing foreign policy problems facing the Trump administration.
The North has conducted five nuclear tests, two of them last year, and is working to develop nuclear-tipped missiles that can reach the United States.
The Trump administration is reviewing its policy towards North Korea and has said all options are on the table, including military strikes, but U.S. officials said non-military action appeared to be at the top of the list.
Russia’s foreign ministry, in a statement ahead of a visit by U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, said it was concerned about many aspects of U.S. foreign policy, particularly on North Korea.
«We are really worried about what Washington has in mind for North Korea after it hinted at the possibility of a unilateral military scenario,» the ministry said.
«It’s important to understand how that would tally with collective obligations on de-nuclearising the Korean peninsula, something that is underpinned in U.N. Security Council resolutions.»

Sean Spicer made not one but several gaffes about the Holocaust on Tuesday

In Tuesday’s briefing, press secretary Sean Spicer said something astounding — that Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad compared unfavorably, at least in one respect, to Adolf Hitler.
«Hitler didn’t even sink to the level of using chemical weapons,” Spicer said.
You’re probably spotting at least one obvious problem here: The Nazis used poison gas as one of the principal means of exterminating the Jewish people. At one point, 6,000 Jews were gassed to death every day in Auschwitz alone, according to the US Holocaust Museum.
Surely, Sean Spicer knows this. He has to know this. Yet when a reporter asked Spicer to clarify his comments later in the briefing, he just dug himself a deeper hole:
I think when you come to sarin gas, there was no … he was not using the gas on his own people in the same way that Assad is doing. There was not … he brought them into the Holocaust centers, I understand that. But what I’m saying is the way that Assad used them, where he went into towns, dropped them, the use of it — I appreciate the clarification, [denying that Hitler used gas] was not the intent.
So, according to Spicer, Hitler only gassed people in “Holocaust centers” — not a term used by anyone in the history of ever — but didn’t “drop” the gas on “his own people” in towns.
This is mostly false. Prior to the construction of gas chambers, SS soldiers would drive around so-called “gas vans” — vehicles with hermetically sealed compartments that could be flooded with poison gas — and used them to execute Jews in, yes, their towns.
So Spicer released a second clarification in a statement to press, saying that he was just trying to say that Hitler never airdropped chemical weapons on his victims:

This is, finally, true. But the error pales in comparison to the main issue, which is that Spicer said that Assad compared unfavorably to Hitler — and still has not apologized for it!
The thrust of his initial point, which has not been withdrawn, is that Assad crossed some kind of moral line that Hitler did not. Saying that Hitler “didn’t sink to the level” of Assad is a form of whitewashing Hitler’s crimes against the Jews. Spicer’s second statement tries to sort of walk this back — but without admitting any error, which makes the whole thing seem shallow at best.
And he said this on the first day of Passover, one of the most important Jewish holidays that happens to celebrate Jews’ freedom from oppression.
This is not the first time that the White House has engaged in a kind of petty Holocaust denial — not a sentence I ever thought I’d type. On Holocaust Remembrance Day in January, the White House issued a statement that did not mention Jews once. When Spicer was asked about this omission, he slammed the media for engaging in “pathetic,” “ridiculous … nitpicking.”
Nor is it the first time that Spicer has screwed up massively when talking about Syria this week. In yesterday’s briefing, he invented a new Trump policy on Syria whole cloth, one that would require a prolonged US war against Assad — forcing the White House to walk it back (twice). Earlier in the week, he claimed that Trump’s cruise missiles had taken out 20 percent of Syria’s entire air force, when it had actually taken out 20 percent of one wing (something like 12 planes out of a total of several hundred).
All of this begs the question: If the press secretary can’t talk about what’s currently the biggest policy issue in the news without making massive errors and saying deeply offensive stuff about the Holocaust, how good of a press secretary is he?

Aλίκη μιλάμε για για σούπερ μαλάκα τσαρλατάνο, που όμοιό του δεν είχαμε ξαναδεί στην Δύση μεταπολεμικά. Ο τύπος είναι αποκλειστικά για τα πανηγύρια. Το θεωρώ σχεδό σίγουρο ότι θα φύγει κακήν κακώς. Μέχρι να φάει την κλωτσιά όμως το θέμα είναι είναι να μην έχει προλάβει να κάνει στο μεταξύ καμιά μεγάλη ζημιά. Μακάρι, εύχομαι ειλικρινά όταν θα τσακιστεί να φύγει να μην έχει γίνει καμιά ξεγυρισμένη ιστορία.
Για να τα λέμε όμως όλα, και το ρεπουμπλικάνικο κόμμα είναι σε μεγάλο βαθμό για τα σκουπίδια (ειδικά η υπερσυντηρητική του πτέρυγα – ιδεοληπτικοί πανηλίθιοι μέχρι όσο δεν πάει). Χρειάζεται επειγόντως επανεκκίνηση, και μετακίνηση σε σαφώς μετριοπαθέστερες θέσεις.
Πάντως σπάω μία πλάκα με διάφορους χρήσιμους ηλίθιους από τους φανερούς ή κρυφούς υποστηρικτές του τσαρλατάνου, οι οποίοι… φοβόντουσαν ότι η Κλίντον θα πήγαινε σε πόλεμο με την Ρωσία. Και έτσι, επέλεξαν (επειδή η ηλιθιότητά τους αγγίζει επικά επίπεδα) να υποστηρίξουν τον Τραμπ, τον «υποψήφιο της ειρήνης». 😀 Παραβλέποντας ολοκληρωτικά τα κυριολεκτικώς άπειρα στοιχεία που υπήρχαν μπροστά στα μάτια τους και αποδείκνυαν πέραν πάσης αμφιβολίας ότι πρόκεται για ένα τσαρλατάνο χωρίς αρχές και χωρίς καμία μα καμία συνέπεια σε ότι λέει, καθώς το να λέει επι μονίμου βάσεως ψέμματα του είναι το ίδιο φυσικό οσο και το χέσιμο. Χώρια το γεγονός ότι έλεγε και ένα σωρό ξεγυρισμένες παλαβομάρες σε σχέση με τα πυρηνικά, με την επαναφορά των βασανιστηρίων, και ένα σωρό αλλα, τι να πρωτοθυμηθεί κανείς. Αλλά εντάξει, οι εν λόγω χρήσιμοι ηλίθιοι (η, μάλλον, πιο σωστά, χρήσιμοι ακροδεξιοί ηλίθιοι) έκριναν ότι τελικά η Κλίντον ήταν που αντιπροσώπευε την… μεγαλύτερη απειλή για την ανθρωπότητα…
Και πράττοντας έτσι μας έπεισαν και όλους τους υπόλοιπους για το πόσο κακής ποιότητας, πόσο τελείως για τα μπάζα, είναι η πολιτική τους κρίση.

Την Αμερική δεν την κυβερνάει κανείς πρόεδρος. Η Αμερική είναι ένα κράτος το οποίο κυβερνάται από διάφορα λόμπυ. Μέσα από τους ανταγωνισμούς αυτών των λόμπυ παράγεται η πολιτική. Ο πρόεδρος απλώς υπάρχει και όταν τύχει να διαφωνεί τότε εκτελείται ή του σκαρώνουνε κανένα γουοτεργκέητ.
Αν η Αμερική αποφάσισε να πάει σε πόλεμο, αυτό το αποφάσισαν άλλοι πολλές δεκαετίες πριν. Τα σχέδια μάχης υπάρχουν, εξελίσσονται ή μπαίνουν στο συρτάρι ή πάνε και καμιά φορά στον καταστροφέα εγγράφων. Πάντως όλα γίνονται δεκαετίες πριν. Γνώμη μου είναι ότι η Αμερική δεν πρόκειται να προχωρήσει σε γενικευμένο πόλεμο αλλά επιδιώκει να συντηρεί μια σειρά εστιών χαμηλής ή λίγο μεγαλύτερης εντάσεως και να ακολουθεί το δόγμα Κίσινγκερ του μη ολοκληρωτικού πολέμου με τη Ρωσία. Σε αυτή τη σειρά εντάσεων μπαίνουν μέσα διάφορα κράτη. Κάποια που η Αμερική τα χρειάζεται, τα εξοπλίζει στρατιωτικά και οικονομικά. Μετά τα βάζει σε πόλεμο ως πιόνια στη σκακιέρα και για τα πιόνια δεν σκάει κανείς αν κοπούν στο παιχνίδι. Ισως στο άμεσο μέλλον ένα τέτοιο κράτος να είναι και η Ελλάδα όπως στο παρελθόν πχ υπήρξε η Ουκρανία, η οποία τελείωσε ως κράτος γεωπολιτικά, οικονομικά και στρατιωτικά αφού όμως εκτέλεσε την αποστολή που της είχε ανατεθεί.
Ο Τραμπ παίζει αυτή τη στιγμή διάφορα παιχνιδάκια με το βαθύ αμερικάνικο κράτος για να μην τον βρούνε σε κανένα χαντάκι ή βρούνε κανένα εγγονάκι του σε κανένα χαντάκι. Οταν συνειδητοποιήσει ότι Ιράν, Ρωσία, Κίνα, Συρία, Β. Κορέα, και ίσως και Ινδία δεν αστειεύονται θα σκεφτεί πολύ καλά και αυτός και το βαθύ κράτος των μυστικών υπηρεσιών που βρίσκεται από πίσω, πού την πάνε τη δουλειά. Η Ευρώπη στρατιωτικά, οικονομικά και πολιτικά είναι ανύπαρκτη και η Αμερική με όλους αυτούς παρέα δεν δύναται να τα βγάλει πέρα καθότι οι καιροί αλλάξανε και αλλάζουνε κάθε δευτερόλεπτο. Ο κόσμος πάει πολύ γρήγορα σήμερα και αυτό ίσως είναι το μεγαλύτερο του κουσούρι.
Οι Ευρωπαίοι σύμμαχοι του ΝΑΤΟ δεν πρόκειται να εμπλακούν ενεργά. Αν το πράξουν η Ευρώπη θα καταληφθεί μέχρι τουλάχιστον το Βερολίνο για ακόμα μια φορά. Ασε που πριν καταληφθεί θα έχουν πεθάνει οι μισοί Ευρωπαίοι από το κρύο και την πείνα. Φτάνει να διακοπεί για 30 μέρες η τροφοδοσία του αερίου και του πετρελαίου για να τελειώσει στην Ευρώπη οποιαδήποτε σκέψη για εμπλοκή σε οποιοδήποτε πολεμικό θέατρο.
ΥΓ:
Κάθε φορά που πάει πχ ο Μακέην στη Συρία σε λίγες μέρες μετά την αναχήρησή τους πέφτουν χημικά όπλα. Την προηγούμενη φορά το 2013 πέσανε 15 μέρες μετά που έφυγε και το ίδιο έγινε και λίγες μέρες πριν που πάτησε το ποδαράκι του στη Συρία.

Το επίπεδο της εμπιστοσύνης ανάμεσα στη Μόσχα και την Ουάσινγκτον έχει επιδεινωθεί μετά την ανάληψη των καθηκόντων του προέδρου των ΗΠΑ Ντόναλντ Τραμπ, ανέφερε ο ρώσος πρόεδρος Βλαντιμίρ Πούτιν σε συνέντευξη που μεταδόθηκε τη Μ. Τετάρτη.
Όταν ρωτήθηκε για τις σχέσεις των δύο χωρών αφότου ο Τραμπ έγινε πρόεδρος, ο Πούτιν είπε, σύμφωνα με την απομαγνητοφώνηση της συνέντευξης που δόθηκε στη δημοσιότητα από το Κρεμλίνο: «Κάποιος θα μπορούσε να πει πως το επίπεδο της εμπιστοσύνης σε επίπεδο εργασίας, ειδικά στο στρατιωτικό επίπεδο, δεν έχει βελτιωθεί, αλλά μάλλον έχει επιδεινωθεί».
Όταν ρωτήθηκε για τις κατηγορίες ότι η συριακή κυβέρνηση εξαπέλυσε επίθεση με χημικά όπλα στην επαρχία Ιντλίμπ, ο Πούτιν είπε πως η Δαμασκός κατέστρεψε τα αποθέματα χημικών όπλων της.
Σημείωσε πως πιστεύει ότι υπάρχουν δύο πιθανές εξηγήσεις για το επεισόδιο στην επαρχία Ιντλίμπ: πως οι αεροπορικές επιδρομές της συριακής κυβέρνησης έπληξαν αποθήκες χημικών όπλων των ανταρτών, απελευθερώνοντας δηλητηριώδες αέριο, ή πως το συμβάν ήταν στημένο για να δυσφημίσει τη συριακή κυβέρνηση.
Ο ρώσος πρόεδρος είπε ακόμη πως, παρά τις δηλώσεις που έχουν γίνει, κανένας μετασχηματισμός του ΝΑΤΟ δεν είναι πράγματι σε εξέλιξη καθώς η Συμμαχία εξακολουθεί να υπάρχει στα πρότυπα της αντιπαράθεσης των συνασπισμών και παραμένει ιδεολογικοποιημένη.
«Ο οργανισμός αυτός εξακολουθεί να ζει κατά το παράδειγμα της αντιπαράθεσης των συνασπισμών. Πραγματικά, είναι πολύ ιδεολογικοποιημένος, παρά τις διάφορες δηλώσεις ότι πρέπει να μετασχηματιστεί υπό τις παρούσες συνθήκες. Ακούσαμε πολλές τέτοιες δηλώσεις, αλλά δεν βλέπουμε κανέναν πραγματικό μετασχηματισμό» είπε ο Πούτιν σε συνέντευξή του στον τηλεοπτικό όμιλο Mir.
Στο μεταξύ, ο εκπρόσωπος του Κρεμλίνου Ντμίτρι Πεσκόφ δήλωσε, σε τηλεδιάσκεψη με δημοσιογράφους, πως ο Βλαντίμιρ Πούτιν μπορεί να συναντηθεί με τον υπουργό Εξωτερικών των ΗΠΑ Ρεξ Τίλερσον, ο οποίος επισκέπτεται τη Μόσχα.
«Υπάρχει ορισμένες πιθανότητες» να πραγματοποιηθεί η συνάντηση, είπε ο Πεσκόφ, αν ο Τίλερσον και ο ρώσος ομόλογός του Σεργκέι Λαβρόφ, που έχουν συνομιλίες στη Μόσχα, κρίνουν πως θα είναι χρήσιμο να ενημερώσουν τον Πούτιν για τις συζητήσεις τους.
Ο Πεσκόφ είπε ακόμη πως οι εκκλήσεις των δυτικών δυνάμεων στη Ρωσία να σταματήσει να υποστηρίζει τον σύρο πρόεδρο Μπασάρ αλ Άσαντ ισοδυναμούν με το να δίνουν το ελεύθερο στους τρομοκράτες.

Ο πρόεδρος Ντόναλντ Τραμπ ανακοίνωσε στον Κινέζο πρόεδρο Σι Τσινπινγκ την απόφασή του να βομβαρδίσει την Συρία ενώ οι δύο άνδρες απολάμβαναν το επιδόρπιό τους στο κτήμα του Τραμπ Mar-a-Lago στην Φλόριντα την προηγούμενη εβδομάδα.
Κατά την διάρκεια μιας συνέντευξης , ο Τραμπ φάνηκε να μην μπορεί να ξεπεράσει το γεγονός ότι οι δύο παγκόσμιοι ηγέτες έφαγαν μια πεντανόστιμη τούρτα.
«Καθόμουν στο τραπέζι. Είχαμε μόλις δειπνήσει. Tρώγαμε επιδόρπιο και είχαμε μπροστά μας το πιο όμορφο κομμάτι τούρτας που έχετε δει ποτέ. Ο πρόεδρος Σι το απολάμβανε», δήλωσε ο Τραμπ σε συνέντευξη που έδωσε στο Fox News την Τετάρτη.
«Και έλαβα το μήνυμα των στρατηγών ότι τα πλοία ήταν έτοιμα και μετά τι μπορούσα να κάνω; Και κάπως έτσι αποφασίσαμε να το κάνουμε (σ.σ. να στείλουμε τους πυραύλους) και οι βαλλιστικοί πύραυλοι εκτοξεύτηκαν. Και του είπα: “κύριε πρόεδρε, να σας εξηγήσω…”», αποκάλυψε ο Τραμπ και συνέχισε:
«”Μόλις εκτοξεύσαμε 59 πυραύλους που κατευθύνονται προς το Ιράκ και θέλω να είστε ενημερωμένος γι’ αυτό”. Και εκείνος έτρωγε την τούρτα του και ήταν σιωπηλός».
Ο δημοσιογράφος άμεσα διόρθωσε τον πρόεδρο, εξηγώντας του ότι οι πύραυλοι είχαν στόχο την Συρία και όχι το Ιράκ.
«Ναι. Κατευθύνονταν προς την Συρία. Και θέλω να το ξέρετε αυτό γιατί δεν ήθελα να γυρίσει (ο Τσινπίνγκ) σπίτι του. Είχαμε μόλις τελειώσει. Ήταν μια γεμάτη μέρα στο Παλμ Μπιτς. Είχαμε μόλις τελειώσει και εγώ… ε τι, να τον άφηνα να γυρίσει σπίτι του και εκεί να τον πληροφορούσαν ότι “ο άνθρωπος με τον οποίο δείπνησες μόλις επιτέθηκε σε μια χώρα;”», απάντησε ο Τραμπ.
«Πώς αντέδρασε;», ρώτησε ο δημοσιογράφος.
«Πάγωσε για 10 δευτερόλεπτα και μετά ζήτησε από τον διερμηνέα να επαναλάβει τι του είχε πει. Νόμιζα ότι αυτό δεν ήταν καλό σημάδι. Και εκείνος μου είπε ότι “όποιος χρησιμοποιεί αέρια και όποιος είναι τόσο βίαιος και τα κάνει όλα αυτά σε μικρά παιδιά και μωρά, τότε είναι όλα καλά», είπε ο Αμερικανός πρόεδρος.’

Θα πέσουν από ό,τι φαίνεται μερικοί Τόμαχωκ στην Πιονκ Γιανκ και ο χοντρούλης αδειάζει όσο γίνεται την πόλη εφόσον τα καταφύγια δεν χωρούν όλους τους κατοίκους. Γνώμη μου είναι ότι θα το καταπιεί και αυτό ο Πούτιν όπως κατάπιε το ρώσικο Σουκχόι που κατέβασε ο Ερντογάν, το αεροπλάνο που του κατέβασαν οι Γάλλοι με την ορχήστρα του κόκκινου στρατού, και πολλά άλλα. Ο Πούτιν θα το καταπιεί, δεν ξέρω όμως ο χοντρούλης τι θα κάνει. Αλλά αρχίζω να πιστεύω ότι θα το καταπιεί και αυτός και θα αναμένει τη χερσαία επέμβαση. Εκεί θα δούμε οι Αμερικάνοι τι πουλιά πιάνουνε, αλλά πολύ δύσκολα θα το φτάσουνε εκεί το θέμα καθότι θα διαλύσει η οικονομία τους με 200 τρις χρέος να πολεμάνε σε 2 μέτωπα.
Γενικά από ό,τι φαίνεται επειδή ο γαμπρός του Τραμπ είναι μεγαλομέτοχος στην εταιρεία που κατασκευάζει Τόμαχωκ θα πέφτουνε πολλοί από εδώ και πέρα, άσχετα αν πέφτουν σε εγκαταλελειμένα αεροδρόμια ή μέσα στην έρημο όπως συνέβη προχθές.
Κουράγιο χοντρούλη, θα φας μερικά κουφέτα αλλά δεν υπάρχουνε ούτε λεφτά, ούτε άνδρες με μεγάλα αρχίδια για να μπουκάρουνε στη χώρα σου μέσα σε όλον τον δυτικό κόσμο. Ο δυτικός κόσμος πάει για τη δύση του και είναι όπως το θεριο που αντιλαμβάνεται το τέλος και απλώς γίνεται όλο και πιο άγριο. Το χει ρίξει στα νο μπορντερς, στο μουλτικάλτσουραλ, στην απλυσιά, στους αναρχοάπλυτους, στα πουστονομοσχέδια, στην ανέγερση τζαμιών, στα χαλάλ και στη μαντήλα.

Αλλαγή γραμμής από τον Ντόναλντ Τραμπ όσον αφορά το NATO.
Κατά την κοινή συνέντευξή Τύπου στον Λευκό Οίκο με τον γενικό γραμματέα της Συμμαχίας Γενς Στόλτενμπεργκ, ο πρόεδρος των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών σημείωσε πως το NATO «δεν είναι πλέον παρωχημένο», ανατρέποντας παλαιότερή του δήλωση η οποία είχε προκαλέσει συναγερμό στην Ευρώπη.
«Δήλωσα ότι ήταν παρωχημένο. Δεν είναι πλέον παρωχημένο», είπε ο αμερικανός πρόεδρος, σημειώνοντας πως το ΝΑΤΟ προσαρμόζεται πλέον σε έναν αντιτρομοκρατικό ρόλο, αναπροσανατολισμό που – όπως είπε – είχε προσωπικά ζητήσει προ πολλού.
Παρά ταύτα, ο κ. Τραμπ επανέλαβε το κάλεσμά του για αύξηση των αμυντικών δαπανών από την πλευρά των συμμάχων, σημειώνοντας ότι εάν όλα τα μέλη της Συμμαχίας έκαναν τις επενδύσεις που τους αναλογούν αντί να βασίζονται στις ΗΠΑ όλοι θα ήταν πιο ασφαλείς.
Οι δηλώσεις Τραμπ ήλθαν λίγες ώρες μετά τη συνάντηση του αμερικανού υπουργού Εξωτερικών Ρεξ Τίλερσον με τον ρώσο πρόεδρο Βλαντιμίρ Πούτιν στη Μόσχα, υπό τη σκιά της ρωσο-αμερικανικής αντιπαράθεσης που έχει ξεσπάσει αναφορικά με το μέλλον του Μπασάρ αλ-Άσαντ στη Συρία.
Ο κ. Τραμπ ανέφερε ότι οι επαφές Τίλερσον στη Μόσχα «πήγαν αρκετά καλά» και «μάλλον καλύτερα από ό,τι αναμενόταν.
Παραδέχτηκε ωστόσο ότι οι σχέσεις με τη Ρωσία «μπορεί να βρίσκονται στο χαμηλότερο επίπεδο όλων των εποχών».
Από την πλευρά του, ο Γενς Στόλτενμπεργκ χαρακτήρισε «εξαιρετική και παραγωγική» στη συνάντηση που είχε με τον Ντόναλντ Τραμπ στο Οβάλ Γραφείο.

Επαίνους για την «καλή δουλειά» που πραγματοποιεί απηύ-θυνε ο Αμερικανός πρόεδρος Τραμπ στον Φιλιππινέζο ομόλογό του, Ροντρίγκο Ντουτέρτε, σύμφωνα με χθεσινές δηλώσεις της προεδρίας των Φιλιππίνων.
Ο εκπρόσωπος του Ντουτέρτε, Ερνέστο Αραμπέλα, είπε ότι αν και ο Τραμπ είναι ενήμερος για τις επικρίσεις που δέχεται ο Ντουτέρτε για τον αμφιλεγόμενο πόλεμο κατά των ναρκωτικών, που έχει οδηγήσει στον θάνατο χιλιάδων υπόπτων, ο Αμερικανός πρόεδρος επέμεινε να συγχαρεί τον πρόεδρο των Φιλιππίνων.
Η συμβιβαστική στάση του Τραμπ απέναντι στον Ντουτέρτε, αλλά και το «άνοιγμά» του προς τον ηγέτη της Βόρειας Κορέας, Κιμ Γιονγκ Ουν, τον οποίο ο Τραμπ χαρακτήρισε «ευφυή», αποτελούν χαρακτηριστικά ενός προέδρου με απεριόριστη αυτοπεποίθηση στην ικανότητά του να συνάπτει συμφωνίες, την προθυμία του να συνδιαλλαγεί με τον οποιονδήποτε και τη ροπή του για παραβίαση κάθε συμβατικού διπλωματικού κανόνα, όπως εξηγεί σε άρθρο του στους Times της Νέας Υόρκης ο Μαρκ Λάντλερ.
Η απάντηση-υπεκφυγή του Ντουτέρτε, όμως, ο οποίος είπε τη Δευτέρα ότι θα επισκεφθεί την Ουάσιγκτον «εφόσον δεν είναι απασχολημένος σε άλλες διπλωματικές αποστολές», αποδεικνύει τους κινδύνους της βασισμένης στις προσωπικές σχέσεις διπλωματίας.

«Οι Κινέζοι είπαν στον Τραμπ ότι πρέπει να συνομιλήσει με τους Κορεάτες. Το Πεκίνο προσπαθεί έτσι να δημιουργήσει τις κατάλληλες συνθήκες για συνομιλίες, προσφέροντας στον Κιμ μία δίοδο διαφυγής από το αδιέξοδο», λέει στους Times ο Τζόελ Βιτ, ειδικός της Β. Κορέας, που συμμετείχε στις διπλωματικές πρωτοβουλίες της κυβέρνησης Κλίντον το 1994.
Η πρωτοβουλία του Τραμπ, όμως, υπήρξε ιδιαίτερα πρόωρη. Οι εξελίξεις αρχίζουν και τρέχουν..
Ο Τραμπ, τελείως αιφνιδιαστικά, απέλυσε νωρίτερα τον διευθυντή του FBI.
Η κίνηση αυτή κατά πάσα πιθανότητα έχει να κάνει με τις έρευνες που είχε αρχίσει το FBI γύρω από τον πιθανολογούμενο επηρεασμό των αμερικανικών εκλογών από τη Ρωσία. Η έρευνα μέχρι στιγμής ηδη έχει αγγίξει αρκετούς συνεργάτες του νέου πρόεδρου, και υπάρχουν βάσιμες υπόνοιες ότι θα μπορούσε να πλήξει ακόμα περισσότερους, ίσως και αυτόν τον ίδιο ακόμα. Εικάζεται ότι ο νέος διευθυντής του FBI θα είναι πολύ πιο χειραγωγήσιμος από τον Τραμπ, με ότι κάτι τέτοιο θα συνεπάγεται φυσικά για την έρευνα γύρω από τον επηρεασμό των τελευταίων αμερικανικών εκλογών από τους ρώσους.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday abruptly fired FBI Director James Comey, who had been leading his agency’s investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign and possible collusion with Trump’s campaign.
Trump said the move, which shocked Washington, resulted from Comey’s handling of an election-year email scandal last year involving then-Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. Democrats immediately accused Trump of acting out of political motives.
Comey had been embroiled in a controversy surrounding his handling of a probe of Clinton’s use of a private email sever while she was U.S. secretary of state. As recently as Tuesday, the FBI clarified remarks that Comey made on the matter last week.
Trump, in a letter to Comey released by the White House, said: «It is essential that we find new leadership for the FBI that restores public trust and confidence in its vital law enforcement mission.»
Trump told Comey in the letter he accepted the recommendation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions that he could no longer provide effective leadership. Comey’s term was to run through September 2023. Sessions advised Trump’s campaign before being picked by the president to lead the Justice Department.
Democrats denounced Trump’s move, which some compared to the «Saturday Night Massacre» of 1973, in which President Richard Nixon fired an independent special prosecutor investigating the Watergate scandal.
«Today’s action by President Trump completely obliterates any semblance of an independent investigation into Russian efforts to influence our election, and places our nation on the verge of a constitutional crisis,» said Representative John Conyers, senior Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee.
Conyers and other Democrats renewed their calls for an independent commission or a special prosecutor to investigate Russian influence in the 2016 election.

Senate Democratic Whip Dick Durbin went to the Senate floor on Tuesday to urge the White House to clarify whether the FBI investigation of Russian interference in the presidential campaign would continue now that Comey has been fired.
«Any attempt to stop or undermine this FBI investigation would raise grave constitutional issues,» Durbin said. «We await clarification by the White House as soon as possible as to whether this investigation will continue.»
Trump, in his letter to Comey, said: «While I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with the judgment of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the bureau.»

O διευθυντής του FBI καλύπτει κυκλώματα παιδεραστίας που αφορούν πολλούς και διάφορους πολιτικούς στην Αμερική και των δύο κομμάτων. Και επειδή το είχε παραχέσει και δεν προχωρούσαν οι έρευνες απομακρύνθηκε.
Το ερώτημα που προκύπτει σχετικά με τις ρωσοαμερικανικές και σινοαμερικάνικες σχέσεις μετά την εκλογή Τράμπ είναι απλό. Οι σχέσεις βελτιώθηκαν? Η απάντηση είναι επίσης απλή. Οσοι παρακολουθούν τα πράγματα λένε ΟΧΙ. Συνεχίζεται η μεταφορά βαρέων όπλων στην Α. Ευρώπη, στην Ασία υπάρχει τεράστια ένταση, στη Μ. Ανατολή κλιμακώνονται οι συγκρούσεις. Μέχρι και έξω από την Αγία Πετρούπουλη έφθασαν αμερικάνικα αντιτορπιλικά προχθές και όλος ο ρωσικός στόλος βγήκε στις θέσεις διασποράς και προετοιμάστηκε για ναυμαχία, τη μέρα που γινόταν η παρέλαση στη Μόσχα.
Ο Τραμπ θα προχωρήσει παρακάτω το πράγμα στη Συρία και δεν πρόκειται να ησυχάσει αν δεν διαμελιστεί η χώρα και αν δεν του πάνε στο πιάτο το κεφάλι του Ασαντ. Επίσης όσον αφορά τη Β. Κορέα τα πράγματα έχουν φτάσει πλέον σε ένα σημείο που οποιαδήποτε κίνηση μπορεί να φέρει πολεμική σύγκρουση που όμοιά της δεν έχει ξαναδεί ποτέ η ανθρωπότητα.
Κορόιδεψε ο Τραμπ μια μεγάλη μερίδα του κόσμου στην Αμερική και έγινε πρόεδρος. Από εκεί και πέρα δεν υπάρχει ρωσική παρέμβαση. Ο κόσμος τον ψήφισε επειδή ήταν άνθρωπος της πιάτσας και των επιχειρήσεων να φτιάξει την οικονομία, όχι για τις γνώσεις του στη γεωπολιτική, και στις διεθνείς σχέσεις. Αυτός αποδείχτηκε καλύτερος στις κωλοτούμπες από τον Τσίπρα. Το αν θα του βγούνε οι κωλοτούμπες ή όχι θα το δούμε. Γνώμη μου είναι ότι δεν θα του βγούνε και θα γελοιοποιηθεί στην καλή περίπτωση, ενώ στην κακή θα βάλει την Αμερική σε μια παγκόσμια σύγκρουση με την Κίνα και τη Ρωσία όπου δεν θα μείνει όρθιο τίποτα σε όλον τον πλανήτη.
Από καιρό ετοιμάζεται να εισβάλει στη Συρία το Ισραήλ και από ό,τι φαίνεται ο Τραμπ συμφώνησε και στηρίζει την όλη επιχείρηση. Για τους Εβραίους το 2017 είναι έτος με μεγάλο ειδικό βάρος, όπως το 1967 και το 1917. Οπως πιστεύουν εδώ σε δυσιδαιμονίες και προφητείες, αυτό ισχύει και στο Ισραήλ που έχουν μια σειρά προφητών που προφήτευσαν την πτώση της Δαμασκού και την κατάκτηση της Συρίας μέχρι τον ποταμό Ευφράτη. Οι δυο μπλε γραμμές στη Σημαία του Ισραήλ συμβολίζουν το γεγονός ότι το Ισραήλ πρέπει να εκτείνεται από τον Ευφράτη ως το Νείλο. Αυτό το γνωρίζουν οι πάντες και δεν χρειάζεται περαιτέρω αποδείξεις. Μέχρι να καταλάβουν αυτήν την περιοχή δεν πρόκειται να ησυχάσουν.Εγώ ξέρω όμως μια άλλη προφητεία του Αιτωλού και του Βατοπαιδινού που είπε ότι οι Ρώσοι θα καταλάβουν όλο το Ισραήλ, θα κάψουν την Ιερουσαλήμ και οι Εβραίοι θα τα μαζέψουν από κει και θα πιάσουν τα περατα της οικουμένης. Να δούμε στο τέλος ποιος έχει δίκιο.

Ο κατουρομαλλιάς κάνει ότι μπορεί για να πείσει ότι όντως έχει μία ιδιαίτερη σχέση με την Ρωσία του Πούτιν.
Σε συνάντηση που είχε χθες με τον ρώσο Υπεξ στον Λευκό Οίκο, ενω στα αμερικάνικα μμε δεν επιτράπηκε να καλύψουν φωτογραφικά το γεγονός, επιτράπηκε παρόλα αυτά σε ένα φωτογράφο του κρατικού ειδησεογραφικού πρακτορείου Tass! Σαν να λέμε να γίνει συνάντηση Τσίπρα με τον τούρκο Υπεξ στο Μαξίμου και μόνο σε τούρκους φωτογράφους (και των κρατικών μάλιστα ειδησεογραφικών πρακτορείων) να επιτραπεί να καλύψουν το γεγονός.
Πέραν αυτού, το να επιτραπεί σε ρώσους φωτογράφους, με όλο φυσικά τον εξοπλισμό τους, η πρόσβαση στο Οβάλ γραφείο του Λευκού Οίκου θέτει και κάποια ζητήματα ασφάλειας. Ψιλά γράμματα αυτά βέβαια για τον τσαρλατάνο.

Όπως είπε ο πρόεδρος των ΗΠΑ στο NBC, ο Κόμεϊ του είχε ζητήσει κατά τη διάρκεια δείπνου να παραμείνει στην θέση του, ενώ εκείνος τον ρώτησε αν είναι ο ίδιος υπό έρευνα για το θέμα με την Ρωσία – κάτι που ο Κόμεϊ αρνήθηκε…

«Ήταν δική μου απόφαση, θα τον έδιωχνα όποια και να ήταν η εισήγηση», είπε χαρακτηρίζοντας τον Κόμεϊ «φιγουρατζή» και «θεατρίνο», που προκαλούσε αναταραχή στο FBI.
«Όταν αποφάσισα να το κάνω, είπα στον εαυτό μου «ξέρεις, αυτό το ρωσικό θέμα με τον Τραμπ είναι μια φτιαχτή ιστορία, μια δικαιολογία για τους Δημοκρατικούς που έχασαν τις εκλογές ότι έπρεπε να κερδίσουν»», είπε.
Η παραδοχή του Αμερικανού πρόεδρου, πως η αποπομπή Κόμεϊ είχε σχέση με τη Ρωσία, έρχεται σε πλήρη αντίθεση με τους επίσημους ισχυρισμούς ότι τα δύο θέματα ήταν άσχετα μεταξύ τους.
Στην ίδια συνέντευξη ο Τραμπ διαβεβαίωσε ότι ο ίδιος δεν τελεί υπό έρευνα για την καταγγελλόμενη ρωσική ανάμειξη στις προεδρικές εκλογές κι ότι οι έρευνες για την υπόθεση δεν πρόκειται να σταματήσουν, όπως τον κατηγορούν κυρίως απ’ το στρατόπεδο των Δημοκρατικών.
«Δεν έχω καμία σχέση με τη Ρωσία, δεν έχω συμφέροντα στη Ρωσία, δεν έχω επενδύσεις και ακίνητα», υπογράμμισε.
Σε απάντηση στα σχόλια του Τραμπ για τον Κόμεϊ, ο Ρεπουμπλικάνος πρόεδρος της Επιτροπής Πληροφοριών Ρίτσαρντ Μπερ, εγκωμίασε τον αποπεμφθέντα διευθυντή, χαρακτηρίζοντας τον «ηθικό, έντιμο και ειλικρινή», ενώ ο Μαρκ Γουόρνερ, επικεφαλής των Δημοκρατικών στην Επιτροπή δήλωσε προσβεβλημένος από τα σχόλια του Τραμπ και αποκάλεσε τον Κόμεϊ «ντόμπρο».
Στο μεταξύ ο Ρεπουμπλικάνος Τσακ Γκράσλεϊ, επικεφαλής της Επιτροπής Δικαστικών Υποθέσεων της Γερουσίας, κάλεσε το FBI να επιβεβαιώσει δημόσια αν διεξάγει έρευνα για τον Τραμπ.
Την ίδια ώρα η επιτροπή της Γερουσίας που εξετάζει την υπόθεση της ρωσικής εμπλοκής συνεχίζει τις έρευνες. Ήδη κλήτευσε τον τέως σύμβουλο του Τραμπ για θέματα Εθνικής Ασφάλειας, Μάικλ Φλιν, να της παραδώσει όλο το υλικό που έχει στη διάθεσή του σχετικά με τη Ρωσία.
Ο Φλιν υποχρεώθηκε σε παραίτηση τον Φεβρουάριο , όταν αποκαλύφθηκε ότι απέκρυψε το περιεχόμενο των συζητήσεων του με τον Ρώσο πρεσβευτή στις ΗΠΑ, Σεργκέι Κίσλιακ και παραπλάνησε τον αντιπρόεδρο Μάικ Πενς σχετικά με τις συνομιλίες αυτές.

If Trump Has Nothing to Hide, Why the Secrecy?

WASHINGTON — Possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign was once little more than a conspiracy theory, but not anymore. The only way to make sense of this week’s stunning events is to conclude there is something that President Trump desperately wants to hide.
The party-line explanation of why Trump fired FBI Director James Comey — that it was all about the way Comey handled the probe of Hillary Clinton’s emails — crumbled within hours. Press secretary Sean Spicer comically ducked behind shrubbery on the White House grounds, hiding from television cameras, to give reporters a confused and disjointed account of the dismissal. Efforts to blame the whole thing on Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein ceased after Rosenstein reportedly threatened to resign.
Well-sourced reports in The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and other news outlets agreed on a very different explanation: Trump had grown increasingly angry at the doggedness with which Comey’s FBI was investigating how and why Russia meddled in the election. The president decided to fire Comey, then had Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Rosenstein come up with a rationale.
If this were a criminal trial, prosecutors would allege that the president was displaying «consciousness of guilt» — that he was acting in a way no innocent person would act. Indeed, the only other president to try to head off an investigation by firing the chief investigator was Richard Nixon.
Of course, Trump is not accused of anything at this point. And it may be just a coincidence that on Wednesday, a day after firing Comey, the president met in the Oval Office with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Photographers from the White House press corps were barred from the meeting, but one who works for the Russian news agency Tass was allowed in. Perhaps Trump only thinks of U.S. journalists as «the enemy.»
I do believe in coincidences, up to a point. And I know that conspiracy theories usually turn out to be wrong. But I can see no explanation for Trump’s bizarre attitude toward the allegations of Russian meddling other than a desire to conceal something.
For months, Trump dismissed the conclusion of the U.S. intelligence community that Russia was ultimately responsible for hacking into computer systems and email accounts associated with the Democratic Party, then leaking information that was damaging to Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
Trump named Michael Flynn — a controversial figure, partly because of his ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin — as his national security adviser. And when Sally Yates, then serving as acting attorney general, told the White House that Flynn had lied when he denied discussing U.S. sanctions with Kislyak, and thus could be vulnerable to Russian blackmail, Trump waited 18 days to fire him. The president acted only after Flynn’s deception became public knowledge.
And Flynn had been a prominent Trump adviser during the campaign. Experts say he may potentially be in legal jeopardy, which makes him someone an aggressive investigator such as Comey would likely squeeze for information about others.
During the campaign, Sessions, who was then a U.S. senator, and Trump foreign policy adviser Carter Page also met with Kislyak — as did Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. It is possible that these were nothing more than courtesy calls. But given the backdrop of a Russian effort to boost Trump’s prospects of winning the election, all meetings between senior campaign figures and Russian officials deserve scrutiny.
In an interview Thursday with NBC’s Lester Holt, Trump said that Comey told him once over dinner and twice in phone calls that he was not personally being investigated. Trump described one of the exchanges this way: «I said, ‘If it’s possible, would you let me know, am I under investigation?’ He said, ‘You are not under investigation.'»
Trump apparently thinks this means something, but of course it does not. Typical investigative procedure is to start at the bottom of an organization and work your way up. «You are not under investigation» does not mean «You will never be under investigation.»
Trump claims to have no business ties with Russia. But in the past, his sons have reportedly bragged about a flood of Russian money boosting the Trump Organization’s fortunes. Trump could settle the question by fully disclosing his finances, including his tax returns. Why the secrecy?
If Trump wanted to end this scrutiny by firing Comey, he may have had the opposite effect. Ask yourself one question: Have you ever seen a cover-up with no underlying crime? Neither have I.

Clapper made clear that Comey was uncomfortable since “he had been invited to the White House to have dinner with the president, and that he was uneasy with that because of even compromising the — even the optics, the appearance of independence, not only of him, but of the FBI.”
Trump’s telling of the dinner now appears to be the sort of lie one would concoct if you didn’t know enough about how government works to come up with a credible story.
There are two problems coming together at once. First, the president is blabbing about actions (real or not) that would constitute abuse of power, if not obstruction of justice. It is coming from his mouth. He does not even have the excuse of “fake news.” Second, because the Comey firing sent events spinning out of control, the president now appears to be irrational, if not ill. No one in control of his emotions or taking counsel from sober advisers would behave as he is.
Former White House adviser Peter Wehner remarks, “The problem for Republicans is that given who Trump is — given that his problems are temperamental and characterological and therefore won’t be cured — I think it’s quite likely that at some point many of them will be forced to break with him; that his actions will be so transgressive, so problematic, so embarrassing and so unpopular that it’ll become in their self-interest to distance themselves from a president who clearly is not a well man.” We don’t know when that will be. One imagines that they cannot function in this mode for very long. “What we’re seeing can be compared to the metaphor of the frog in the water that begins at a tepid temperature but get hotter and hotter and eventually boils the frog to death,” Wehner observes. “Right now Republicans are in the water, it’s beginning to boil, and if they don’t jump soon, this will have a very bad ending for them.”
Now would be a good time for the adults — former presidents, secretaries of state and defense, former FBI and CIA directors and past heads of the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee — to speak up in unison. The president has either confessed to a pattern of conduct that is unacceptable or he is so out of it that he would make up facts that suggest a pattern of conduct that it is unacceptable. There are options here, including commencement of bipartisan impeachment hearings, legislation passed by a veto-proof majority to enlist an independent prosecutor and/or a decision that, aside from national security matters, the Congress will devote itself full-time to the resolution of this entire matter over the next few weeks. Vice President Pence, who has been repeatedly lied to in service of actions to deceive the public, needs to remember he serves the country, not the president.
Action needs to be taken before too much damage is done to the republic. The GOP is lost, but the country can be protected.

U.S. President Donald Trump disclosed highly classified information to the Russian foreign minister about a planned Islamic State operation during their meeting last week, two U.S. officials with knowledge of the situation said on Monday.
The intelligence, both officials said, was supplied by a U.S. ally in the fight against the militant group.
The White House said the allegations were false. «The president only discussed the common threats that both countries faced,» deputy national security adviser Dina Powell said.
Reacting to the news, first reported by the Washington Post, the Senate’s No. 2 Democrat, Dick Durbin, called Trump’s conduct «dangerous» and reckless.» The Republican head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Bob Corker, called the allegations «very, very troubling» if true.
One of the officials said the intelligence was classified Top Secret and also held in a secure “compartment” to which only a handful of intelligence officials have access.
After Trump disclosed the information, which one of the officials described as spontaneous, officials immediately called the CIA and the National Security Agency, both of which have agreements with a number of allied intelligence services, and informed them what had happened.
While the president has the authority to disclose even the most highly classified information at will, in this case he did so without consulting the ally that provided it, which threatens to jeopardize what they called a longstanding intelligence-sharing agreement, the U.S. officials said.
The Washington Post said that Trump shared the information with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak.

During his Oval Office meeting with Lavrov and Kislyak, Trump went off-script and began describing details about an Islamic State threat related to the use of laptop computers on aircraft, the officials told the Post.
In his conversations with the Russian officials, Trump appeared to be boasting about his knowledge of the looming threats, telling them he was briefed on «great intel every day,» an official with knowledge of the exchange said, according to the Post.
U.S. officials have told Reuters that U.S. agencies are in the process of drawing up plans to expand a ban on passengers carrying laptop computers onto U.S.-bound flights from several countries on conflict zones due to new intelligence about how militant groups are refining techniques for installing bombs in laptops.

Όχι μόνο ξέρασε απόρρητες πληροφορίες στους ρώσους αλλά στην κουβέντα μαζί τους χαρακτήρισε και «παλαβό» τον διευθυντή του FBI που είχε απολύσει την προηγούμενη μέρα. Και δεν το συζητάμε, τον απέλυσε γιατί τον ενοχλούσε η έρευνα του FBI γύρω από τις σχέσεις της Ρωσίας με το επιτελείο του.

President Trump told Russian officials in the Oval Office this month that firing the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, had relieved “great pressure” on him, according to a document summarizing the meeting.
“I just fired the head of the F.B.I. He was crazy, a real nut job,” Mr. Trump said, according to the document, which was read to The New York Times by an American official. “I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.”
Mr. Trump added, “I’m not under investigation.”
The conversation, during a May 10 meeting — the day after he fired Mr. Comey — reinforces the notion that Mr. Trump dismissed him primarily because of the bureau’s investigation into possible collusion between his campaign and Russian operatives. Mr. Trump said as much in one televised interview, but the White House has offered changing justifications for the firing.
The White House document that contained Mr. Trump’s comments was based on notes taken from inside the Oval Office and has been circulated as the official account of the meeting. One official read quotations to The Times, and a second official confirmed the broad outlines of the discussion.
Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary, did not dispute the account.
In a statement, he said that Mr. Comey had put unnecessary pressure on the president’s ability to conduct diplomacy with Russia on matters such as Syria, Ukraine and the Islamic State.
“By grandstanding and politicizing the investigation into Russia’s actions, James Comey created unnecessary pressure on our ability to engage and negotiate with Russia,” Mr. Spicer said. “The investigation would have always continued, and obviously, the termination of Comey would not have ended it. Η Βόρεια Κορέα έχει αγνοήσει όλες τις εκκλήσεις για να περιορίσει το πυρηνικό και πυραυλικό της πρόγραμμα, ακόμη εκείνες της Κίνας, την μόνη μεγάλη σύμμαχό της, με την Πιονγκγιάνγκ να χαρακτηρίσει νόμιμη αυτοάμυνα τα οπλικά προγράμματά της.

Για αυτό το λόγο η προσπάθειά μας είναι να συνεργαστούμε με τα Ηνωμένα Έθνη, με την Κίνα, την Ιαπωνία και την Νότια Κορέα για να προσπαθήσουμε να βρούμε μια διέξοδο από αυτή την κατάσταση», πρόσθεσε ο επικεφαλής του Πενταγώνου.
Mετά την εκτόξευση του διηπειρωτικού πυραύλου που έφτασε ύψη πάνω από 2000 χιλιόμετρα, εκτός ατμόσφαιρας και εκτός τριβής επιτέλους κατάλαβαν οι Αμερικάνοι ότι εδώ δεν έχουν να κάνουν με τυχαίους και καμιά μπανανία της Αφρικής. Ο πύραυλος που φτάνει σε τέτοια ύψη όπου δεν υφισταται τριβή μπορεί να ταξιδέψει οπουδήποτε και μετά να αρχίσει πορεία προς τη Γη. Ο πύραυλος αυτός δύναται να κάνει τον κύκλο της Γης πολλές φορές και να αμολήσει τις 8 κεφαλές όπου γουστάρει. Με ολίγα λόγια δύναται να χτυπήσει οπουδήποτε και όχι μόνο την Αμερική. Φτάνει την Ευρώπη, το Ισραήλ, τη Βρετανία και όλους τους Ωκεανους.
Τελικά οι Αμερικάνοι φοβούνται μόνο. Την έννοια διεθνες δίκαιο την έχουν γραμμένη εκεί που δεν πιάνει φως.Για άλλη μια φορά επιβεβαιωνομαι. Κατουρήσανε προχθές τα βρακάκια τους με τον πύραυλο του Κορεάτη και τα γυρίζει τώρα ο Mad Dog Matis. Τελικά δεν είναι και πολύ Mad Dog. Σκυλάκι του καναπέ είναι.

O χοντρούλης δεν τα χει με τους συμπατριώτες του. Αν του την πέσουν οι νατοικοί θα βαρέσει Ευρώπη και Αμερική και το ξέρουνε καλά πλέον. Σταθερά επιδιώκει σχέσεις καλής γειτονίας με τους Νότιους άλλο ότι συνέχεια του στέλνουνε κατασκοπευτικά αεροπλάνα από πάνω οι Νότιοι και οι Αμερικάνοι. Επειδή λοιπόν θα στείλει καμιά κεφαλή με κοντεινερ ή θα στείλει κανά δυο πυραύλους στο διάστημα και θα σκάσουνε σε κανένα Βερολίνο καλύτερα είναι και οι Ευρωπαίοι, που μόνο με κάτι γραφικούς σαν τον Καντάφι τα βάζουνε, να ηρεμήσουνε γιατί τα πράγματα χοντρύνανε πολύ στην κορεατική χερσόνησο και δεν αποκλείεται να πάνε πολύ πέρα από κει που πήγανε το 1950.
Ο χοντρούλης δεν είναι Πούτιν να τον φτύνουνε στα μούτρα να του σκοτώνουνε πρεσβευτές και να του κατεβάζουνε αεροπλάνα με μουσικούς και να κάνει πως δεν καταλαβαίνει. Δεν το παίζει τρελός αλλά είναι που λέει και το λαικόν άσμα.
